    Abstract: A valve for use in an endoscope may comprise a proximal valve stem member having a first lumen extending from a proximal opening at a proximalmost end of the proximal valve stem member to a distal opening at a distalmost end of the proximal valve stem member. A distal valve stem member may have a second lumen with a proximal opening at a proximalmost end of the distal valve stem member. The proximalmost end of distal valve stem member may be received within the distal opening of the first lumen. The distal valve stem may be movable relative to the proximal valve stem.

    Abstract: Methods and systems for providing a flow of fluid to an endoscope. An illustrative container, manifold, and tubing set arranged and configured to couple to an endoscope may comprise a fluid container, a manifold fluidly coupled to the fluid container, and one or more tubing sets coupled to the manifold. The manifold may include an irrigation conduit for providing irrigation fluid from the fluid container to the endoscope, a lens wash chamber configured to receive liquid from the irrigation conduit. In some cases, the manifold may include a pressurized chamber and an adjustable barrier or divider between the pressurized chamber and the lens wash chamber. The adjustable barrier or divider may adjust to push liquid through an outlet in communication with the lens wash chamber in response to the pressurized chamber receiving pressurized gas.

    Abstract: A closure device includes a first ring structure having a first distal portion and a first medial portion and a second ring structure having a second distal portion and a second medial portion. The first and second distal portions are movable between an open position, where the first and second distal portions form an angle relative to one another for receiving target tissue therebetween, and a closed position, where the first and second distal portions are drawn toward one another for gripping the target tissue. The device also includes an anvil about which the first and second medial portions are formed. Either one of proximal motion of the anvil relative to the first and second rings or proximal motion of the medial portions relative to the anvil causes the first and second distal portions to move into either one of the open position or the closed position.

    Abstract: A medical device may comprise a handle portion; an insertion portion having a proximal end portion at the handle portion, wherein the insertion portion includes a lumen therein and a distal end having a distal opening in communication with the lumen; and a member disposed within the lumen, the member having a distal end portion with an imaging device. The member may be configured to transition between a first configuration and a second configuration. In the first configuration, the imaging device may face distally, and, in the second configuration, the imaging device may face proximally. Extending the distal end portion of the member distally past the distal opening may cause the member to transition from the first configuration to the second configuration.

    Abstract: The present disclosure includes devices, systems, and methods for reducing signal noise in endoscopic rotational imaging. Many embodiments include an elongate member that includes an impedance matching network disposed between a proximal imaging core and a distal imaging core. In many such embodiments, the elongate member may connect a controller at the proximal end and include a rotational transducer at the distal end. In various embodiments, the proximal and distal imaging cores may include a plurality of insulated conductors disposed within a shield (e.g., a shielded twisted pair (STP)). In various such embodiments, the insulated conductors may be utilized to communicate differential signals between the controller and the rotational imaging transducer. In some embodiments, the insulated conductors in the proximal imaging core may have a larger diameter than the insulated conductors in the distal imaging core.

    Abstract: A tissue closure system includes an endoscope having first and second lumens therethrough, first and second control elements disposed within the first and second lumens, respectively, and a tissue engaging portion integral with a distal end of the endoscope. The tissue engaging portion includes a tissue acquisition assembly and a tissue closure assembly. The tissue acquisition assembly is controllable via the first control element, and the tissue closure assembly controllable via the second control element. The tissue engaging portion includes a tissue grasping portion for engaging first and second target tissue portions disposed adjacent an opening in target tissue. The tissue closure assembly is configured to pierce the target tissue, and to hold the first and second target tissue portions together to close the opening in the target tissue.

    Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods for a valve assembly for a medical device. The valve has a cap, a stem which moves within a valve body, and a spring member between the cap and the valve body to move the valve within the body. The valve stem and/or spring member are made of a degradable material, which may be a metal. The degradable material has a higher degradation rate than conventional metal valve components to reduce the environmental impact of disposing of the valve.
