Abstract: An electric connector assembly includes a plug connector and a mating socket connector, and the plug connector includes a base, a tongue plate protruding forwardly from the base and a plurality of electrical contacts. The tongue plate defines two relative surfaces and the tongue plate includes a terminal holder and a side portion beside the terminal holder in a transverse direction. The side portions define at least a pair of clamping portions recessed from the surface of the tongue plate, and the socket connector defines at least a pair of elastic arms for engaging with said clamping portions for enhancing the stability when the electric connector inserted into a mating connector.

Abstract: An electrical assembly is composed of a receptacle connector and a plug connector adapted to be mated with each other. The plug connector includes an elongated insulative housing forming a receiving space rearwardly recessed from a front mating face thereof with a pair of forwardly extending guiding posts respectively located at two opposite longitudinal ends of said receiving space in the longitudinal direction. A plurality of contacts are disposed in the housing with corresponding contacting sections exposed in the receiving space. A metallic shield is rearwardly assembled upon the housing from a front side of the housing with a pair of bending sections each inserted into the corresponding retaining recess which is terminated behind the front mating face in the front-to-back direction.

Abstract: A electrical connector includes an insulative elongated housing and first and second metallic shells covering the housing. The housing includes a top surface, a bottom surface, two sides surfaces and a middle surface between the top surface and the bottom surface so as to form a step structure thereof. The primary shell covers the top surface, the bottom surface and two side surfaces, and the secondary shell covers the middle surface and the rear surface which is roughly joined with the middle surface, and further the primary shell on the bottom surface in an overlapped manner so as to avoid any electrical leaking along the front-to-back direction between the primary shell and the secondary shell.

Abstract: An electrical connector includes an insulative housing, a plurality of contacts retained in the housing, a metallic shell enclosing the housing, and the magnets retained by the shell. The housing includes a pair of longitudinal walls and a pair of end walls commonly forming a mating cavity. The contacts are disposed in the longitudinal walls with corresponding contacting sections exposed in the mating cavity. The shell forms receiving cavities to intimately receive the corresponding magnets, respectively.
