A system and method for discovering fault conditions such as conflicts between applications and an operating system, driver, hardware, or a combination thereof, installed in mobile computing devices uses a mobile device running a diagnostic application. A list of applications that were launched or installed during a time period prior to an operational disruption is retrieved. A data table of combinations of incompatible programs and drivers is used to analyze the list of the applications that were launched or installed to create a list of potential fault-causing interactions due to software incompatibilities of software installed in the mobile computing device. A knowledge database is updated with data identifying at least one of the potential fault-causing interactions. Further disclosed is a computer program that identifies hardware-created or software-created problems and operational disruptions in mobile computing devices by collecting data on incompatibilities in particular mobile computing devices on the internet.

A system and method may include: providing to a device user in response to one of a user request for troubleshooting assistance and a mobile telecommunications user device monitoring software conclusion that a problem exists, a diagnostic application specific to the mobile telecommunication user device of the device user; receiving from the device user an indication of a problem with the mobile telecommunication user device experienced by the device user; selecting an application update; providing to the device user the application update updating an application running on the mobile telecommunication user device; and determining whether the problem has been solved. If determining indicates that the problem has not been solved the method may further include deleting the application and further determining whether the problem has been solved, and if so forwarding problem solution data to a knowledge database.

The system and method include receiving, by a server computer and before activation of a mobile computing device by a user, a code from the mobile computing device over a wireless data connection; and in response to the receiving of the code, transmitting, by the server computer to the mobile computing device over the wireless data connection, a software module, the software module for execution on the mobile computing device and for installing software on the mobile computing device in response to the execution.

In another aspect, a method includes: receiving a code from a mobile computing device; and in response to receiving the code, calculating at least one set of data for use in guiding a request of a customer for service to a resource that can provide a suggested remedy. The tiered surface forms an abutment surface configured as a stop against which a test assembly is abutted. A plurality of cameras is positioned to capture different views of the test assembly. A processing device is configured to execute instructions to capture an image from each of the plurality of cameras of the test assembly that includes a plurality of components. Each of the plurality of components is analyzed within each image of the plurality of images. A matching score is determined and an indication of whether the plurality of components was correctly installed in the test assembly is generated.

In one embodiment, a method comprises simultaneously recording video footage and wireless signal strengths of a respective room in a plurality of rooms; storing the video footage and wireless signal strengths in a database; accessing the database and analyzing whether the video footage and wireless signal strengths include useful information; displaying one or more locations for telecommunications equipment on a floor plan of the respective room if the video footage and wireless signal strengths include useful information; and transmitting the video footage and wireless signal strengths to a technician if the video footage and wireless signal strengths do not include useful information.
