    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. For a user equipment with a number of M greater than or equal to two antennas, a signal is transmitted from at least a first antenna and a second antenna at a first time with an initial relative phase state including a first relative phase rotation between the signals transmitted by the first and second antennas. In response to a determination that a response signal was not received at the user equipment, the signal is retransmitted from at least the first antenna and the second antenna with a subsequent relative phase state among the transmitting antennas, including a second different relative phase rotation, at a second time. The second time may be the next subsequent retransmission of the signal or may be a retransmission following one or more retransmissions using the first relative phase rotation.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first user equipment (UE) may transmit a capability message indicating a parameter configuration for each phase error process of a set of phase error processes of the first UE. The first UE may transmit, to a second UE, a phase error process indicator to indicate that the first UE is using a first phase error process of the set of phase error processes to generate a sidelink transmission in accordance with the parameter configuration for the first phase error process. The second UE may monitor, via a sidelink channel, for the sidelink transmission based on frequency tracking, phase tracking, time tracking, or any combination thereof being performed in accordance with the parameter configuration for the first phase error process. The first UE may transmit, via the sidelink channel, the sidelink transmission to the second UE.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first node may transmit, to a second node on a beamformed link from the first node to the second node, a first signal, wherein the first node and the second node are associated with common timing; determine whether a second signal, based at least in part on the first signal, is received on a beamformed link from the second node to the first node; and transmit a third signal based at least in part on receiving the second signal or perform a sidelink beam failure recovery procedure based at least in part on determining that the second signal is not received.     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. For example, the described techniques provide for configuring sidelink beam failure detection reference signals for determining beam failures on a sidelink between a first sidelink user equipment (UE) and a second sidelink UE. The first UE may determine a first set of sidelink beam failure detection reference signals to transmit to the second UE and a second set of sidelink beam failure detection reference signals to receive from the second UE. The first UE may transmit the first set to the second UE using a set of sidelink transmit beams. The first UE may further monitor for the determined second set using a set of sidelink receive beams. Based on the first and second set of sidelink beam failure detection reference signals, the first and second UE may communicate over the sidelink.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques provide for a first user equipment (UE) establishing a sidelink connection with a second UE. The first UE may identify a frame structure for the first UE to communicate with a base station. The frame structure may include one or more downlink slots and one or more uplink slots. The base station may indicate a set of resources for the sidelink connection with the second UE. The set of resources may include at least one downlink slot of the one or more downlink slots. In accordance with the indication, the first UE may communicate with the second UE on the sidelink connection and using at least one beam and the indicated set of resources. The communication with the second UE may utilize at least the resources in the at least one downlink slot.
