Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a base station. UE capability information including a first indication of a first capability of the UE for downlink reception in a plurality of frequency spectrum bands using a first radio frequency receive chain and a second indication of a second capability of the UE for uplink transmission in the plurality of frequency spectrum bands using a second radio frequency transmit chain. The UE may receive at least one of a measurement configuration associated with downlink reference signals for the plurality of frequency spectrum bands or a transmission configuration associated with uplink reference signals for the plurality of frequency spectrum bands. Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and devices for wireless communication including an apparatus, e.g., a UE and/or one or more networks. In one aspect, the apparatus receives an MBMS video streaming service through broadcast from a first network. In addition, the apparatus determines a failure in association with the reception of the broadcasted MBMS video streaming service. Further, the apparatus receives, based on the determined failure of the broadcasted MBMS video streaming service, the MBMS video streaming service through unicast from a second network. In one configuration, the apparatus transmits information to the second network indicating that the MBMS video streaming service through broadcast from the first network has failed. In such a configuration, the MBMS video streaming service through unicast from the second network is received based on the transmitted information.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) switch between carriers of a group of a carriers during uplink communications in accordance with a mapping. For example, the UE may report its capability to a base station for switching between carriers of the group, where the group includes a supplementary uplink (SUL) carrier and two or more normal uplink (NUL) carriers that are each associated with a different radio frequency band. The base station may indicate for the UE to switch to a subset of carriers of the group corresponding to a combination of radio frequency bands for transmission of an uplink message. The UE may switch to at least one carrier of the subset of carriers in accordance with a mapping that is based on the reported capability and may transmit the uplink message on the at least one carrier.

Abstract: Aspects are provided which improve RLM by allowing a UE to apply a longer monitoring window for out-of-sync determinations before the UE triggers an RLM timer for in-sync determinations. The UE first obtains a reference signal from a base station. The UE then determines multiple groups of consecutive out-of-sync indications in response to the reference signal. For example, the UE may perform looped out-of-sync monitoring, multi-cell or carrier monitoring, or a combination of such monitoring to determine the multiple groups of out-of-sync indications. Afterwards, the UE triggers the RLM timer in response to determining the multiple groups of consecutive out-of-sync indications. As a result, the UE may perform additional out-of-sync monitoring during RLM before proceeding with in-sync monitoring, thus allowing the UE to account for rapid BLER changes (ping-pong effects) that may occur in HAPS systems due to tropospheric turbulence and enabling more accurate RLM determinations and minimal RLF detections.

In some wireless communications systems, a user equipment (UE) may support two or more uplink switching periods for transmit chain switching. The UE may transmit a UE capability message indicating the UE capability to support a first uplink switching period and a second uplink switching period for transmit chain switching. The first uplink switching period and the second uplink switching period may each correspond to different switching periods associated with configuration switches between different transmit chain configurations of the UE. The UE and a base station may select an uplink switching period from among the first uplink switching period and the second uplink switching period. The UE may transmit an uplink data message to the base station after a preparation time that is based on the uplink switching period.

Abstract: A reference signal periodically transmitted by a base station in a wireless network can have certain proprietary properties to help prevent detection and utilization of the signal for unauthorized positioning of mobile devices. More specifically, a network node can obscure and introduce time-variation in mapping between positioning signals and a corresponding physical base stations. The network node may also introduce time variations in fields of a base station almanac (BSA) provided to subscribing user equipments (UEs). The information transmitted to the subscribing UEs may be encrypted.
