    Abstract: An exemplary embodiment of the present inventive concept provides a display device including: a thin film transistor panel comprising a display area and a peripheral area; and a color conversion panel overlapping the thin film transistor panel, wherein the color conversion panel includes: a substrate; a color conversion layer; a first organic layer disposed between the color conversion layer and the thin film transistor panel; a second organic layer disposed between the first organic layer and the thin film transistor panel; and a polarization layer disposed between the second organic layer and the thin film transistor panel, wherein the first organic layer overlaps the display area and the peripheral area, and the second organic layer overlaps the display area.

    Abstract: A display device may include a substrate, a transistor, a pixel electrode, a roof layer, and a liquid crystal layer positioned in microcavities between the roof layer and the substrate. The roof layer may include a first roof portion and a second roof portion. The first roof portion may overlap the pixel electrode and may be directly connected to the second roof portion. The second roof portion may be positioned closer to the transistor than the first roof portion. A minimum distance between the substrate and the second roof portion may be less than a minimum distance between the substrate and the first roof portion.

    Abstract: A display device includes a substrate and pixels arranged on the substrate in a matrix form. The substrate includes a display area in which the pixels are arranged and a non-display area disposed adjacent to a side of the display area. Each pixel includes a cover layer that extends in a row direction that includes a sidewall portion connected to the substrate and a cover portion spaced apart from the substrate and connected to the sidewall portion to define a tunnel-shaped cavity on the substrate. A width of the sidewall portion between adjacent pixels is less than a width of the sidewall portion disposed at an outermost position, and the cover layer seals one side of the tunnel-shaped cavity in the pixels arranged in a first row and a last row.

    Abstract: A manufacturing method of a display device includes: forming a thin film transistor on a substrate; forming a pixel electrode connected to the thin film transistor in at least one of the plurality of pixel areas on the substrate; forming a sacrificial layer on the pixel electrode; forming an opening in the sacrificial layer by removing at least a part of the sacrificial layer; forming a roof layer on the sacrificial layer and forming a support member in the opening; forming an injection hole by patterning the roof layer to expose at least a part of the sacrificial layer; forming a microcavity between the pixel electrode and the roof layer by removing the sacrificial layer; forming a liquid crystal layer in the microcavity by injecting a liquid crystal material through the injection hole; and forming an encapsulation layer on the roof layer to seal the microcavity.
