Abstract: An electronic device includes a network monitor configured to acquire network environment information related to a radio frequency (RF) transmission signal; a transceiver configured to generate an envelope signal of the RF transmission signal; a transmission (Tx) module including a power amplifier for receiving the RF transmission signal from the transceiver and amplifying the RF transmission signal; and an envelope tracking (ET) modulator configured to receive the envelope signal from the transceiver and to provide a bias of a power amplifier to correspond to the envelope signal, wherein the ET modulator determines a magnitude of the bias of the power amplifier based on the network environment information acquired by the network monitor.

Abstract: Disclosed is a voltage protection circuit for preventing power amplifier burnout in an electronic device. The electronic device includes a power amplifier (PA) configured to amplify a transmission signal, a switch configured to set a path of a signal outputted from the PA, a bias control circuit configured to control the supply of a bias current driving the PA, and a voltage protection circuit configured to provide a main control signal for turning off the PA earlier than turning off the switch based on a battery voltage providing a driving power of the electronic device, and forward the main control signal to the bias control circuit, wherein, in response to receiving the main control signal instructing to turn off the PA from the voltage protection circuit, the bias control unit stops the supply of the bias current driving the PA.

Abstract: An electronic device is provided. The processor may obtain first information about a first phase and a first magnitude, which are associated with the first frequency, and second information about a second phase and a second magnitude, which are associated with a multiplied frequency of the first frequency, from the transmission signal and the reflection signal using the transceiver, and may determine a state of the electronic device based on the first information and the second information.

Abstract: An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes an antenna module including an antenna array. The antenna module includes a printed circuit board, conductive lines formed on the printed circuit board, each of the conductive lines having different lengths, a communication circuit including a first switch connected to ends of the conductive lines, and a front-end including a second switch connected to opposite ends of the conductive lines and phase shifters connected to the second switch. Based on a direction of a beam to be formed by the antenna array, a processor connected to the antenna module is configured to control the first switch and the second switch to select at least one of the conductive lines and to control a phase value of at least one of the phase shifters connected to the selected conductive line, based on a length of the selected conductive line.

Abstract: An electronic device includes a communication unit; a memory storing instructions; and a processor, coupled to the communication unit and memory, to execute instructions to determine, based on at least one of a state of the electronic device and a distance between the electronic device and a user, a value of specific absorption rate (SAR) corresponding to the value of SAR that corresponds to a power of the electronic device; determine, based on the SAR, an average SAR on a designated time interval; determine, in response to the average SAR being greater than a first designated value, a reference value limiting a maximum power of the electronic device; and transmit a signal based on the determined reference value through the communication unit, wherein the reference value includes a value obtained by subtracting a second designated value from a value of maximum output power of the electronic device.
