Abstract: An air conditioner and a method for controlling same are disclosed. An air conditioner according to the disclosure comprises: an indoor unit including an indoor heat exchanger and an indoor fan; an outdoor unit including a compressor; at least one sensor; at least one memory storing instructions; and at least one processor to execute the instructions to identify a freezing process to form ice-capsules on a surface of the indoor heat exchange according to a first relative humidity sensed through the at least one sensor, control the indoor fan and the compressor to operate in the identified freezing process so that the ice-capsules are formed, identify a thawing process to thaw the formed ice-capsules according to a second relative humidity sensed through the at least one sensor while the indoor fan and the compressor are operating in the identified freezing process, and control the indoor fan to operate in the identified thawing process.

Abstract: A display driver integrated circuit includes a frame buffer, a plurality of image processing circuits and an image processing controller. The frame buffer sequentially stores a plurality of frame data received from a host processor. Each of the plurality of frame data includes a plurality of data slices. The image processing circuits perform image signal processing operations, respectively, on ones of the data slices that are included in a respective one of the plurality of frame data and which are sequentially retrieved from the frame buffer. The image processing controller bypasses at least one of the image processing circuits by applying a bypass control signal to the image processing circuits based on a first plurality of data slices included in a first one of the plurality of frame data and a second plurality of data slices included in a second one of the plurality of frame data.

Abstract: An air conditioner includes: a fan configured to discharge air cooled by a refrigerant; and at least one processor configured to receive a user input for setting an airflow volume of air to be discharged and a desired temperature, increase a frequency of the compressor to a first critical frequency and maintain the frequency of the compressor as the first critical frequency in response to determining that a temperature difference between an indoor temperature and a desired temperature exceeds the critical temperature difference while controlling the fan to discharge the air with the set airflow volume, determine whether an unsatisfactory condition has occurred, based on at least one cool air-conditioning sensation measurement item while maintaining the first critical frequency, and increase the frequency of the compressor to a second critical frequency to further decrease a current temperature of the air in response to determining that the unsatisfactory situation has occurred.

Abstract: A display driver circuit includes a receiver that receives a still image or a moving image, a frame buffer that stores the still image received by the receiver in a still image mode, an image processor that performs an image enhancement operation on the moving image transferred from the receiver or the still image transferred from the frame buffer, and a motion processor that performs a motion compensation operation using a current frame output from the image processor and a previous frame stored in the frame buffer in a moving image mode. The previous frame is data which, in the moving image mode, are processed by the image processor before the current frame and are then stored in the frame buffer. The previous frame is output from the frame buffer to the motion processor in synchronization with the current frame.
