Abstract: A functional panel is provided. The functional panel includes a first driver circuit, a second driver circuit, and a region. The first driver circuit supplies a first selection signal, the second driver circuit supplies a second selection signal and a third selection signal, and the region includes a pixel. The pixel includes a first pixel circuit, a light-emitting element, a second pixel circuit, and a photoelectric conversion element. The first pixel circuit is supplied with the first selection signal, the first pixel circuit obtains an image signal on the basis of the first selection signal, the light-emitting element is electrically connected to the first pixel circuit, and the light-emitting element emits light on the basis of the image signal. The second pixel circuit is supplied with the second selection signal and the third selection signal in a period during which the first selection signal is not supplied, the second pixel circuit obtains an imaging signal on the basis of the second selection signal and supplies the imaging signal on the basis of the third selection signal, and the photoelectric conversion element is electrically connected to the second pixel circuit and generates the imaging signal.

Abstract: A display apparatus capable of improving image quality is provided. In the display apparatus, an adder circuit is provided inside and outside a display region, and the adder circuit has a function of adding a plurality of pieces of data supplied from a source driver. Some components of the adder circuit are separately arranged in a pixel region. Thus, limitation on the size of a component included in the adder circuit can be eased, and data addition can be performed efficiently. In addition, by providing the other components included in the adder circuit outside the display region, the number of wirings in the display region can be reduced and the aperture ratio of the pixel can be increased.

Abstract: A semiconductor device includes a display device and a source driver. Each of a plurality of pixels included in the display device is supplied with a first data potential and a second data potential included in a range of a first potential or higher to a second potential or lower. The first data potential makes the pixel display an image with a first gray level. The pixel performs calculation with the first data potential and the second data potential to generate a third data potential. The third data makes the pixel display an image with a second gray level. A reference potential of the first data potential is an intermediate potential between the first potential and the second potential, and the gray level width that can be displayed by the second data potential is larger than the gray level width that can be displayed by the first data potential.

Abstract: To provide a display device capable of displaying a plurality of images by superimposition using a plurality of memory circuits provided in a pixel. A plurality of memory circuits are provided in a pixel, and signals corresponding to images for superimposition are retained in each of the plurality of memory circuits. In the pixel, the signals corresponding to the images for superimposition are added to each of the plurality of memory circuits. The signals are added to the signals retained in the memory circuits by capacitive coupling. A display element can display an image corresponding to a signal in which a signal written to a pixel through a wiring is added to the signals retained in the plurality of memory circuits. Reduction in the amount of arithmetic processing for displaying images by superimposition can be achieved.

Abstract: A semiconductor device that reduces variations in the characteristics of driving transistors and corrects image data is provided. The semiconductor device includes an image data retention portion, a correction data retention portion, a driver circuit portion, a display element, and a threshold voltage correction circuit portion. The image data retention portion has a function of retaining first image data, and the correction data retention portion has a function of retaining correction data, and a function of generating second image data corresponding to the first image data and the correction data when the first image data is retained in the image data retention portion. The driver circuit portion has a function of generating a current corresponding to the second image data and feeding the current to the display element, and the threshold voltage correction circuit portion has a function of correcting a threshold voltage of a driving transistor in the driver circuit portion. With the above structure, the semiconductor device can correct the image data, correct the threshold voltage of the driving transistor, and perform display based on the second image data.

Abstract: A display device capable of performing proper display without image signal conversion is provided. In the case of high-resolution display, individual data is supplied to each pixel through a first signal line and a first transistor included in each pixel. In the case of low-resolution display, the same data is supplied to a plurality of pixels through a second signal line and a second transistor electrically connected to the plurality of pixels. When the number of image signals to be displayed is more than one and the image signals support different resolutions, display can be performed without up conversion or down conversion by switching an image signal supply path as described above.
