Abstract:
A garment and accessory attachment for displaying adornments, messages, and logos is used to display reminder or reinforcement messages to a user. The garment and accessory attachment attaches to garments or accessories including, but not limited to, clothing, shoes, and athletic bags. garment and accessory attachment incorporates an adornment, message, or logo superimposed onto an interchangeable image tag to remind or reinforce a thought process to encourage specific behavior or focus to improve the user's performance. The image tag is pressed against a clip base of the garment and accessory attachment and secured with a first tag restraint and a second tag restraint of the garment and accessory attachment. The garment and accessory attachment is mounted to a garment or accessory through a clip arm. The clip arm is adjacently connected to the clip base, opposite to the first tag restraint and the second tag restraint.
Abstract:
A battery interrupter that allows a user to assert control over a device that was not designed to be operated different from its original function is provided for. It permits an external device to take control of the power train of a device, primarily battery-operated, by regulating the flow of energy through the device, and acting thusly as an external management system. This external system can be as simple as a wired remote control switch to turn it on and off, or as complex as a wireless communication system that provides access to programming languages, internet data, and other types of rule-based and real-time management and interaction.
Abstract:
A display apparatus includes an array of light modulators. Each light modulator has a first actuator configured to drive the light modulator into a first state and a second actuator configured to drive the light modulator into a second state. The display apparatus also includes a control matrix including, for each light modulator in the array, a single actuation voltage interconnect. The actuation voltage interconnect is configured to apply a first drive voltage to the first actuator of the light modulator and apply a second drive voltage to the second actuator of the light modulator. In addition, the actuation voltage interconnect is configured to control application of a data voltage to a latch circuit to control the application of the first and second drive voltages to the first and second actuators.
Abstract:
An improved absorbency material for absorbency applications comprised of a cellulosic fibrous material wherein said cellulosic fibrous material such as pulp is a cold alkali solution treated material at a treatment temperature of less than about 50° C.; a process for improving absorbency and other characteristics of said pulp.
Abstract:
A system and method of controlling the administration of a medical substance is disclosed. An aerosol generator is configured to aerosolize a medical substance and administer the aerosolized medical substance to a patient using a ventilator. The patient is provided with a patient control interface through which the patient initiates the administration of a dose of the aerosolized medical substance. A processor is configured to control the ventilator and the aerosol generator in response to the patient control interface such that the patient controls the administration of the aerosolized medical substance in accordance with limits on the administration of the medical substance.
Abstract:
A fuel injector includes a fuel injector body defining a fuel inlet and at least one fuel outlet, a valve having a first valve state and a second valve state and an actuator for the valve. The fuel injector includes a biasing spring including a cylindrical rolled sheet having a first spring end, a second spring end and defining a longitudinal center axis. The cylindrical rolled sheet is configured to change in length to bias the actuator toward the first actuator position and includes a helical seam located between the first spring end and a second spring end which has a shape adapted to reduce non-uniformity in a spring constant via distributing stiffness about the longitudinal center axis.
Abstract:
The invention relates to methods and apparatus for forming images on a display utilizing a control matrix to control the movement of MEMs-based light modulators.
