Abstract:
A system for and method of calibrating an imaging device efficiently is described herein. The imaging device acquires an image of an object that is more than one color. The information acquired is then transferred to a computing device. The information is then used to generate a set of data which represents information which was not acquired in the image. The set of data is generated based on statistical prediction using a training data set. Using acquired image information and the set of data, an imaging device is able to be calibrated. Since the process of calibration utilizing this method only requires one image to be acquired and a reduced set of image information to be sent to the computing device, the process is more efficient than previous implementations.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus provide edge enhancements as part of a demosaicing process in which an image is captured. By providing edge enhancements as part of the demosaicing process, the edge enhancement process has access to unaltered spatial and chromatic information contained in the raw captured image data.

Abstract:
A light-emitting color display system is provided having an optical sensor system in which a plurality of photosensors are directed towards the light source of the light-emitting color display system to provide outputs proportional to the light energy associated with each color. A processing system responds to the outputs over time with the initial outputs and provides a mechanism to correct color changes in the display system. The color light-emitting display system has a second plurality of photosensors directed away from said light-emitting color display system for providing outputs related to the different illuminants and allowing compensation of the light-emitting color display system for the illuminants.
Abstract:
A document processing system is provided having an optical sensor system for taking an original color image and compensating for process related variations in the scanning or printing process to provide a scanned or printed image having the color appearance of the original image. The document processing system is provided with the optical sensor system responsive to the scanned document intensity spectrum through a bandpass filter or diffraction grating to provide color compensation for different color variations in the paper, the scanner light source, or the printer color toners or ink.
Abstract:
Image processing systems are described which utilize various methods and processing algorithms for enhancing or facilitating visual detection and/or sensing modalities for images captured in vivo by an intravascular visualization and treatment catheter. Such assemblies are configured to deliver energy, such as RF ablation, to an underlying target tissue for treatment in a controlled manner while directly visualizing the tissue during the ablation process.
Abstract:
A system and method for effectively performing an image data transformation procedure may include an electronic camera device that is implemented to capture primary image data corresponding to a photographic target. A transformation manager in the electronic camera device may be configured to convert the primary image data into secondary image data by utilizing selectable transformation parameters that are optimized by utilizing an optimization metric to thereby minimize noise characteristics in the secondary image data. The transformation parameters may be stored in parameter lookup tables in the electronic camera device for use by the transformation manager in performing the image data transformation procedure.
Abstract:
A system and method for creating dither matrices for printing in color. The disclosed method shows how to construct arrays for cyan, magenta, yellow, and black primary color printing for which only a single calculation using the cost function is involved. The disclosed method computes only a single dither array. Once the first array is generated, the computer software program creates the other arrays by translating points of the original array to corresponding points in the secondary array. In one embodiment translation is performed using a random number generator. In alternate embodiments, translation is performed by inversion and shifting of the first array.
Abstract:
A camera is provided which has an optical sensor which can respond to natural, artificial light, and a combination by bandpass filtering or spectrum diffraction and electronic processing to allow compensation for color differences in an image taken by the camera caused by the illumination.
