Abstract: An optical sensor device, includes an optical sensor that has a set of sensor elements, an optical filter that includes a plurality of regions, and one or more processors. A region, of the plurality of regions, includes a first set of optical channels comprising optical channels that are configured to pass light associated with respective subranges of a first wavelength range, a second set of optical channels comprising optical channels that are configured to pass light associated with respective subranges of a second wavelength range, and a third set of optical channels comprising optical channels that are configured to pass light associated with respective subranges of a third wavelength range. The one or more processors are configured to obtain, from the optical sensor, sensor data associated with a scene and determine image information associated with the scene based on the spectral information.

Abstract: A technique of determining the presence of a species in a sample may include passing light through an optical filter. In an example, the optical filter may include a spatially variant microreplicated layer optically coupled to a wavelength selective filter. The wavelength selective filter may have a light incidence angle-dependent optical band. The spatially variant microreplicated layer may be configured to transmit light to a first optical region of the wavelength selective filter at a first predetermined incidence angle and to a second optical region of the wavelength selective filter at a second predetermined incidence angle.

Each subcell (5) has at least one additional filter of a channel, and all the channels together cover at least the entire visible spectrum (8), and the characteristic wavelengths (9) of the individual filters belonging to a channel in each case differ from one another between the subcells (5) of a supercell (6).

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention relate to a method for producing a color sensor with a sensor characteristic adjusted by three sensor elements that each comprise an element characteristic, and a color filter cooperating with the sensor elements and consisting of color filter elements that each comprise a filter element characteristic, and to a color sensor. Embodiments include a method with which a color sensor with a precisely adjustable sensor characteristic can be produced from several photosensitive elements and from simple filter elements is solved in that the particular filter element characteristics are adjusted in such a manner that they have in cooperation with the respective element characteristic an interim characteristic of the sensor which deviates from the sensor characteristic on the whole, wherein the sensor characteristic is generated from the interim characteristic by a transformation algorithm using transformation parameters.

Abstract: The polarization imaging unit generates a polarized image including pixels for each of a plurality of polarization components. The demosaicing unit calculates a pixel signal for each polarization component by using the pixel signal of the target pixel of the polarized image and the pixel signal of the pixel for each of the identical polarization components located near the target pixel. In one example, a low frequency component is calculated for each polarization component using the pixel signal of the pixel located near the target pixel for each of the identical polarization components. In addition, component information indicating relationship between the low frequency component of the polarization component of the polarized image and the pixel signal of the target pixel is acquired. Furthermore, the pixel signal for each polarization component in the target pixel is calculated based on the low frequency component and the component information for each polarization component.
