    Abstract: Methods for powder coating that include applying a powder coating composition to a substrate via an electrostatic gun. The powder coating composition includes a mixture of two or more materials having different densities, such as a mixture of aerogel particles and fluoropolymer-containing particles. The electrostatic gun can have a high-voltage generator that generates a negative polarity voltage between about 0 KV and about 100 KV during application of the powder coating composition, and the electrostatic gun can have a round spray nozzle. Methods of making fuser members using such powder coating methods, fuser members prepared by such methods, and methods of preparing low gloss images using such fuser members.

    Abstract: A method of manufacturing a fuser member is described. The method includes obtaining a substrate and coating a composition of an anhydride capped polyamic acid oligomer, a multi-amine and a solvent on the substrate to form a polyimide gel layer on the substrate. The solvent is extracted from the polyimide gel layer with an extraction solvent. The extraction solvent is removed to form a polyimide aerogel layer having a porosity of from about 50 percent to about 95 percent. A fluoropolymer is coated on the polyimide aerogel layer and cured or melted to form a release layer.

    Abstract: Methods of making phosphorescent toner are provided. In an embodiment, such a method comprises forming a phosphorescent pigment emulsion comprising a phosphorescent pigment and a surfactant; homogenizing a mixture comprising a resin emulsion comprising a resin and the phosphorescent pigment emulsion; aggregating the mixture to form toner particles comprising the phosphorescent pigment embedded within and surrounded by the resin; and coalescing the toner particles to form a phosphorescent toner comprising the toner particles. The phosphorescent toners are also provided.
