Abstract: An apparatus and method for producing self-adhesive labels, in particular in a self-service area, for example of a drug store, is provided. The apparatus comprises a dye-sublimation thermal printer, as a printing means for printing a printing pattern onto an adhesive film, and a cutting apparatus for cutting the adhesive film along a cutting pattern, the adhesive film being moved automatically from the printing means to the cutting apparatus. Initially, only a first moving unit of the printing means moves the adhesive film at a first speed to a second moving unit of the cutting apparatus, after which both moving units move the printed adhesive film further in the forward direction.

Abstract: A manufacturing device of a laminated label body. The manufacturing device of a laminated label body includes a paper feeding portion, a peeling device, a winding portion, and a lamination device. The release paper to which a label is stuck is conveyed by the paper feeding portion, and the release paper is wound by the winding portion and is conveyed while being folded back around a tip end portion of a peeling plate of the peeling device, whereby the label is peeled off from the release paper. The peeled-off label is conveyed to the lamination device having two rolls provided on a downstream side of the peeling plate. The lamination device manufactures the laminated label body by overlapping a rear end portion of the preceding label and a tip end portion of the subsequent label and by sticking them each other.

Abstract: An RFID tag manufacturing system is provided that includes a conveyance device that conveys a base sheet provided with a plurality of antenna patterns to each of which an RFIC module is fixed. The system includes a laminating device that attaches a cover seal on the base sheet to cover the antenna patterns and a punching device that produces RFID tags by punching the cover seal and the base sheet with a punching blade that includes a frame-shaped cutting edge surrounding the antenna patterns to form a frame-shaped cut. The base sheet includes alignment mark in a non-attachment part of the cover seal. The punching device specifies the position of each of the antenna patterns covered with the cover seal based on the alignment mark, and punches the cover seal and the base sheet based on the specified position of the antenna pattern.

Abstract: A label web and method utilize a substrate, first and second longitudinally spaced label arrays each including two or more double-sided adhesive labels removably attached to the substrate, and a peelable protective covering web extending generally coextensive with the substrate. The label arrays and the peelable protective web are configured such that the peelable protective web is selectively removable to expose the first label array while remaining removably attached to the second label array, with both the first and second label arrays remaining removably attached to the substrate, to thereby facilitate removal of all labels in the first label array as a group while the peelable protective covering web remains in place over the second label array.

Abstract: A label winding device is for receiving a medium including a label liner and a label member that is removably attached to the label liner and has at least one label portion and a waste portion, separating the waste portion from the label liner at a waste separation portion, and winding the at least one label portion with the label liner. The label winding device includes: a waste winder for winding the separated waste portion; a label winder for winding the at least one label portion with the label liner without the separated waste portion; a waste guide for guiding the separated waste portion to the waste winder; a support for rotatably supporting the waste guide; a sensor for detecting a rotational speed of the waste guide; and a waste break detector for detecting break of the waste portion on a basis of the detection by the sensor.

Abstract: The invention concerns a linerless self-adhesive material obtained starting from a self-adhesive material with a liner, by means of a process that comprises the delamination of the liner from a self-adhesive layer, activation of the liner or self-adhesive layer, transferral of the liner over the self-adhesive layer and re-lamination of the two components so as to produce the linerless self-adhesive material. The liner or the self-adhesive layer is coated with a thermo-adhesive that allows for permanent lamination of the liner located on the self-adhesive layer.
