Abstract:
In a motor operated overhead garage door the operator is connected to a bell-crank lever pivotally mounted on the garage door so that the first movement of the operator swings the bellcrank lever to retract a spring pressed locking device for locking the door in closed position. Further movement of the operator lifts the door in a conventional manner.
Abstract:
A covering of a building opening includes a rail, a first sash having a guiding slot, a second sash hinged with the first sash and having a center of rotation at an end thereof, a pulley assembly, and a restricting assembly. The pulley assembly is movably received in the rail and has a rod. The rod has a protrusion section extending out of the rail, and the protrusion section enters and leaves the guiding slot while the pulley assembly is moving. The restricting assembly has a moving member and a locking base. The moving member is provided on one of the first sash and the second sash, and the locking base is provided on the other. The moving member is moved by the rod and engages the locking base when the rod leaves the guiding slot.
Abstract:
A system for use with a emergency exit door, comprising: a door opener including a stationary actuator with a movable distal arm for pushing the door open; a door strike mountable to a door frame having an opening to receive a latch of the emergency exit door, the electric door strike including a gate having a locked condition and a release condition; a controller connected to the door opener and the door strike; a remote activator having a triggered condition, which provides a signal to the controller when the remote activator is triggered, to unlock the gate and then the door opener, to open the emergency exit door.
Abstract:
A window assembly (118) comprises: a window regulator (144) for driving a main window (124) up and down, a connection system (196) with a latch (198), a division bar (122), and quarter-light window (206) which may be driven down by the regulator (144) to a controlled index position at which the latch (198) disengages such that the quarter-light may be left in a slightly lowered index position while the main window may be further lowered, the latch reengaging once the main window is raised again, the raising and lowering of the quarter-light window (120) enabling the quarter-light to securely engage with a seal (246) positioned between its top edge (204) and an A-pillar (106) of the vehicle (100) and also allowing a door to which the assembly to be opened and closed without interference between the quarter-light and the seal (246).

Abstract:
A system for dynamic braking a vehicle closure including a drive mechanism mounted to the vehicle, the drive mechanism having contacts to receive a drive signal to cause the drive mechanism to move the vehicle closure between an open and a close position in response to the drive signal, the drive mechanism capable of generating a generated drive signal during at least a portion of the vehicle closure from the open to the close position; and a controller having electrical outputs electrically coupled to the electrical contacts of the drive mechanism and electrical inputs to provide the drive signals to the drive mechanism and to receive generated drive signals from the drive mechanism, the controller configured to provide the generated drive signals back to the drive mechanism during operation of the vehicle closure to provide dynamic braking of the vehicle closure from the open to the close position.
Abstract:
An automotive power pivot door is powered by an electric motor through an electromagnetic clutch. A control device of the door has a control unit configured to carry out a routine which comprises de-energizing an electric motor and disengaging the clutch when the door is lifted up to a full-open position; detecting a moved distance by which the door moves down from the full-open position within a first predetermined time (t1) from the time on which the clutch is disengaged; engaging the clutch when the detected moved distance is equal to or greater than a first predetermined distance (L1); disengaging the clutch again when a second predetermined time (t2) passes from the time on which the clutch is engaged; repeating the process for engaging and disengaging the clutch while following the routine; and judging that the holder fails to operate when the frequency of the engaged condition of the clutch indicates a predetermined frequency.
Abstract:
An apparatus for automatically opening a swinging restroom door is provided. The apparatus comprises an actuator, a control unit, and a power assisted drive mechanism that can be connected to an existing door closing mechanism. The actuator comprises a proximity sensor and further comprises a series of iconic symbols corresponding to predetermined proximity zones. The control unit is in electronic communication with the actuator with which signals are exchanged. The power assisted drive mechanism is in electronic communication with the control unit and can be connected to an existing door closing mechanism wherein the actions of the door closing mechanism are reversed and the door is opened.

Abstract:
An apparatus is provided in which a motor 11 with reduction gears, a clutch 12 and a gas stay are provided between a vehicle body 2 and a tailgate 1 so that a fully opened position of the tailgate can be held by virtue of a thrust of the gas stay only, and in this apparatus, when a closure of the tailgate from its own weight is detected after the motor with reduction gears is disconnected, the motor with reduction gears is connected to the tailgate to drive to forcibly close it after the tailgate is driven to be opened to the fully opened position thereof. By this construction, when the holding force of the opened position is short, since the tailgate is closed after it is opened to the fully opened position once, cargo loading and unloading work can be completed while the tailgate is so closed.
