Abstract:
An apparatus for controlling movement of a first member relative to a second member in a piece of furniture includes a damper. When relative movement occurs between the first and second members, force is transmitted through a clutch drive mechanism to a movable member in the damper. A viscous damping medium in the damper resists movement of the movable member.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an actuator (1), comprising an output member (6); a resilient element (8) connected to said output member (6) so as to urge it in a first direction; and an hydraulic rotation damper (5) with a closed cylinder cavity, a rotational damper shaft which extends into the cylinder cavity, and a piston dividing the cylinder cavity into a first side and a second side. Within the rotation damper (5), the rotational movement of the damper shaft is converted into a translational movement of the piston along a longitudinal axis of the shaft. A restricted fluid passage communicates said first and second sides. The damper shaft is connected over a gearing (10, 15, 17) to the output member (6) and resilient element (8) of the actuator for damping movement of said output member (6) in said first direction. The present invention relates to both rotational and linear actuators as well as to a closing mechanisms for hinged members, such as doors, gates, or windows, comprising such actuators.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a refrigerator. The refrigerator includes a body, a refrigerator door for opening/closing a front surface of the body, with the refrigerator door having an opening, an auxiliary door for opening/closing the opening of the refrigerator door, and a damping unit coupled to a hinge shaft of the auxiliary door to control an opening/closing speed of the auxiliary door. The damping unit includes a case, a rotating member rotatably installed in the case, oil filled in the case to apply resistance against rotation of the rotating member, a fixing member coupled to an end portion of a rotating shaft of the rotating member to rotate together with the rotating member, and an elastic member provided between the case and the fixing member to apply elastic force to the fixing member in a direction opposite to an opening direction of the auxiliary door. It is possible to stably rotate the auxiliary door while controlling the rotational speed of the auxiliary door.
Abstract:
A door closing mechanism which comprises a hydraulic rotation damper 5, comprising a closed cylinder cavity 20 within a cylinder barrel 19, a rotational damper shaft 22 which extends into the cylinder cavity 20, a piston 21 dividing the cylinder cavity 20 into a first side 20a above the piston 21 and a second side 20b below the piston 21, a one-way valve 33 allowing fluid flow from said first side 20a to said second side 20b of the cylinder cavity 20, and a fluid passage 31 between said first and second sides 20a,20b of the cylinder cavity 20, with a flow restrictor, in particular in the form of a needle valve 32, adjustable through an orifice in the cylinder barrel 19, wherein said second side 20b of the cylinder cavity 20 and said orifice are at opposite sides of the flow restrictor.

Abstract:
A hinged slide rail with buffering function, which includes a rail to which a hinge is mounted. The hinge has a movable blade and a fixed blade between which a buffering device is coupled. The buffering device is housed in a retention frame. The retention frame has an end forming a limiting structure. The buffering device has an active rod coupled to the limiting structure. The movable blade includes a pull bar that is connected to the limiting structure. The hinged slide rail is installed between a door panel and a body of a cabinet to remarkably enhance the convenience of operation and eliminates the potential problems of generating noise and clamping and hurting users.
Abstract:
An opening and closing member control apparatus for a vehicle includes a driving device adapted to drive an opening and closing member to open and close an opening portion formed at a vehicle body, a sensor provided at a connecting portion connecting the vehicle body with the opening and closing member, the sensor detecting an opening operation and a closing operation of the opening and closing member, and a drive controlling device controlling the driving device to drive the opening and closing member to open or close the opening portion by determining the opening operation or the closing operation of the opening and closing member based on a detection value of the sensor.

Abstract:
An active break release device externally attached to a door controller. The door controller includes a housing for receiving a first motor which rotates a rotary shaft to reel the door; a braking device installed around the periphery of the rotary shaft. The active break release device comprises: at least a brake releasing rod, one end of which is to activate the braking device while the other end of which extends to the outside of the door controller; at least a second motor, for moving the other end of the brake releasing rod; a circuit having a backup power source used to temperately supply electricity to the second motor if electricity fails, so that the one end releases the braking.
Abstract:
A door closer that integrally incorporates a door-opening-assistance device, and that therefore eliminates the need for unnecessary troublesome adjustment between parts, and whose number of parts is reduced, making said door closer compact. The door closer 1 includes a closer 1a that includes a pinion 5 that rotates in the forward and reverse directions when the door is opened or closed, respectively. A cylinder 9 is meshed with the pinion 5 and moves forward and backward. A closing spring 14 energizes the door in the closing direction via the cylinder 9and the pinion 5. A opening-assistance device 1b that includes an opening spring 22 that stores an opening force in the door-opening direction due to the movement of the cylinder 9 when the door is opened. Locking mechanisms 27, 28, and 29, that—when the door is opened—lock the opening spring 22 under an opening-force-storing condition. An unlocking mechanisms 23 and 24 that—when the door is closed—unlock the locking mechanisms. The closer 11a and the door-opening-assistance device 1b are inside the same case 6 and interlinked by the opening of the door.
