Provided are a lighting device having improved workability of a loading operation of an optical sheet in the lighting device whose error of members is large, and a display apparatus including the lighting device. A lighting device, which includes a light guide plate 11, an optical sheet 15 configured to diffuse or collect light emitted from the light guide plate 11, and a housing part 13 in which the light guide plate 11 and the optical sheet 15 are laminated and housed, includes a plurality of holding parts (optical sheet holding parts 134) which are provided in the housing part (a back housing part 13) to support the optical sheet 15 in the housing part, wherein the optical sheet 15 has a plurality of hole parts (through holes 151b) formed therein corresponding to the holding parts, in which the holding parts penetrate, and cross sections of the plurality of holding parts parallel to the optical sheet 15 have areas smaller than the cross-sectional areas of the hole parts, and a difference between the cross-sectional areas of the hole parts and the areas of the cross sections of the holding parts is not constant.

A display device is disclosed. The display device may include a display panel and cover. A first cover may be configured to be connected to the display panel and a second cover may be connected to the first cover to cover the display panel. The first cover and the second cover may cover a back side of the display panel. A plurality of first holders may be disposed on the first cover and a plurality of second holders may be disposed on the second cover corresponding to the plurality of first holders to couple the second cover to the first cover. The first cover may include a first frame and a second frame connected to each other. Distal ends of the first and second frames may have prescribed shapes configured to couple to each other to form a low profile cover for the display device.

Disclosed are a backlight assembly and a display apparatus comprising the backlight assembly. The backlight assembly comprising: a film member; and a support frame holding the film member; the support frame comprising at least one support plate; the support plate is provided with a stepped notch including a first notch and a second notch extending from the first notch and open to an edge of the support plate and having a width smaller than the first notch; the film member is provided with a protrusion for engaging with the stepped notch, the protrusion including a first part projecting from the film member and a second part extending from the first part and having a width larger than the first part; wherein the width of the second part of the protrusion is larger than that of the first notch of the stepped notch, and the width of the second notch of the stepped notch is smaller than that of the first part of the protrusion, such that when the protrusion is engaged with the stepped notch, the first part of the protrusion engages the first notch of the stepped notch, with the second part of the protrusion positioned outside the support plate for restraining the film member in an extending direction of the film member; and the second notch of the stepped notch is positioned over the first part of the protrusion for restraining the film member in a height direction of the support plate. The backlight assembly with the above structure can prevent the film member from dropping off the support plate.

The present disclosure provides a bezel-free display device, including: a display panel including a display surface and a back surface opposite to the display surface; a panel connector, one end of which is secured onto a peripheral region of the back surface, and the other end of which is provided with a first support surface, a first snap-on member being provided on the first support surface; and a backlight module including a back plate and a sealant both arranged at a side of the back surface, the sealant being secured onto a periphery of the back plate and arranged at a position corresponding to the panel connector, one end of the sealant adjacent to the display panel being provided with a second support surface cooperating with the first support surface, a second snap-on member cooperating with the first snap-on member being provided on the second support surface.

A liquid crystal panel fixing assembly and a display device are disclosed. The assembly includes a frame structure having a rectangular shape and multiple position-limiting blocks. The frame structure is used for supporting a liquid crystal panel. Two adjacent edges of the frame structure respectively provide with multiple fixing portions having different distances relative to an inner side surface of the frame structure. The multiple position-limiting blocks are selectively fixed at a group of the fixing portions in order to form a placement region for different display panels. Using the frame structure to support the liquid crystal panel, and through adjusting locations of the position-limiting blocks in order to fix liquid crystal panels having different sizes, the cost for developing different backlight modules for different liquid crystal panels is reduced, and the compatibility of a backlight module is increased.

The housing includes a first housing, a second housing, and a third housing that is arranged on a side of the second housing opposite to the first housing side. An end of the first housing on a display surface side of the display panel protrudes toward the center of the display surface to face an outer edge of the display surface. An end of the second housing on a side opposite to the display surface side of the display panel protrudes toward the center of the display surface to face an outer edge of a surface opposite to the display surface. The optical member is provided between the second housing and the third housing.

A cover of a backlight module for protecting backlight components is disclosed. The cover includes: a main body; and bent clasping sheets arranged on at least one edge portion of the main body, the clasping sheet is fixed in a groove cavity between a backplane and a front frame so as to fix the cover on the backplane. In addition, a backlight module and a liquid crystal display are disclosed. The above-mentioned cover, the backlight module, and the liquid crystal display may simplify the assembly process of the backlight module, and may reduce the cost at the same time.

Provided is a display device that is exceptionally easy to assemble. A display device includes an electroconductive housing. A case body accommodates the display device. A connecting member causes electrification between the housing of the display device and a grounding part of a circuit substrate. The connecting member has a base part that contacts the housing, and an elastic contact armature that contacts the grounding part of the circuit substrate when the circuit substrate is secured to the case body. A securing member secures the display device to the case body so that the base part is held between the housing and the case body. The case body has an elastic locking armature for securing the circuit substrate. The case body has a through-hole through which the elastic contact armature of the connecting member is inserted.

A display device includes a display panel provided with a display surface on which an image is displayed, a back light provided below the display panel, a first frame provided with a first edge enclosing the display surface above the display panel and a first side plate portion provided on the first edge so as to extend in a direction orthogonal to the display surface, and a second frame provided with a second edge enclosing a light transmissive surface of the back light and a second side plate portion provided on the second edge to be opposed to an inner surface of the first side plate portion. The first side plate portion includes a first projection, and the second side plate portion includes a cut-away section in a position opposed to the first projection.
