Abstract: One embodiment provides a computer-implemented method that includes receiving region information from a stationary region detection process for a video. A processor performs a flat region ghosting artifact removal process that updates the region information with a flat region indicator utilizing the region information and the video. The processor further performs a region based luminance reduction process utilizing the updated region information with the flat region indicator for display ghosting artifact removal and burn-in protection.

Abstract: Systems, methods, devices, media, and computer-readable instructions are described for local image tagging and processing in a resource-constrained environment such as a mobile device. In some embodiments, characteristics associated with images are used to determine whether to store content (e.g., images and video clips) as ephemeral content or non-ephemeral content. Based on the determination, the image is stored in a non-ephemeral camera roll storage of the mobile device, or an ephemeral local application storage. Additional storage operations such as encryption or backup copying may additionally be determined and performed based on the analysis of the content. In some embodiments, such images may be indexed, sorted, and searched based on the image tagging operations used to characterize the content.

Abstract: Systems and methods are directed to automatically creating customized whiteboard backgrounds. A network system accesses metadata associated with a virtual presentation (e.g., title, topic, tenant identifier). First image data is identified based on first data of the metadata and second image data is identified based on second data of the metadata. Using the first image data and the second image data, the network system generates a plurality of whiteboard backgrounds by combining a first object obtained from the first image data with a second object obtained from the second image data to form each whiteboard background. The network system then causes presentation of a representation of each of the plurality of whiteboard backgrounds on a user interface of a host, who can select one of the representations. In response to receiving a selection, a whiteboard background corresponding to the selected representation is displayed as background on a whiteboard canvas.

Abstract: A method for capturing a sound source includes: capturing a space where a microphone array is located to generate an image by a camera, wherein the microphone array is configured to receive a sound generated by the sound source and generate a sound source coordinate of the sound source relative to the microphone array; searching for a sub-image belonging to the microphone array within the images by a computing device connected to the camera; calculating a microphone coordinate of the microphone array relative to the camera by the computing device according to the sub-image; calculating a required control parameter by the computing device at least according to the sound source coordinate and the microphone coordinate; adjusting a capturing direction by the camera to capture the sound source at least according to the required control parameter.

Abstract: In some implementations, an augmented reality (AR) device may receive first images representing a webpage, an email, a product, or a store associated with a first entity. The AR device may detect, within the first images, a logo, a font, and/or a color. The AR device may apply a model, trained on a set of guidelines associated with the first entity, to the logo, the font, and/or the color. Accordingly, the AR device may receive, from the model, a first score associated with the webpage, the email, the product, or the store. The AR device may transmit an alert based on the first score. In some implementations, the AR device may further receive second images and apply the model to receive a second score associated with the webpage, the email, the product, or the store. Accordingly, the AR device may transmit an additional alert based on the second score.

One embodiment involves processing image data using a deep convolutional neural network (DCNN) comprising at least a first subgraph and a second subgraph, the first subgraph comprising at least a first layer and a second layer, processing, the image data using at least the first layer of the first subgraph to generate first intermediate output data; processing, by the mobile device, the first intermediate output data using at least the second layer of the first subgraph to generate first subgraph output data, and in response to a determination that each layer reliant on the first intermediate data have completed processing, deleting the first intermediate data from the mobile device. Additional embodiments involve convolving entire pixel resolutions of the image data against kernels in different layers if the DCNN.

Abstract: A method for brand recognition in video by implementing a brand recognition application coupled to a streaming media player, for identifying an observed set of brands streamed in a broadcast video; receiving, by the brand recognition application, a broadcast video stream of a series of images contained in consecutive frames about an object of interest; extracting a set of brand features from each of image received by applying a trained brand recognition model with neural networks in order to detect one or more features related to each displayed object of interest in each frame, wherein the object of interest is associated with a brand image contained video content displayed to a viewer; and displaying, by a graphic user interface, information from the brand recognition application comprising at least time detected of the brand image in the video content of the broadcast video.
