Abstract:
A telecommunications apparatus for use with a plug having at least first, second and third pins. The telecommunications apparatus includes a plug connector for receiving the plug. The plug connector includes at least first, second and third electrical contacts for electrically contacting the first, second and third pins, respectively, when the plug is inserted in the plug connector. The plug connector also includes an electrical by-pass pathway that: i) electrically connects the first and second electrical contacts when the plug is fully removed from the plug connector such that a signal can enter the plug connector through the first contact, pass through the by-pass pathway to the second contact, and exit the plug connector through the second contact; and ii) does not electrically connect the first and second electrical contacts when the plug is fully inserted within the plug connector such that a signal can enter the plug connector through the first contact, pass through the plug to the second contact, and exit the plug connector through the second contact.

Abstract:
A video connection line to integrate digital and analog signals includes a first video connection port (may be one conforming to DVI-I specification) to transmit digital and analog signals that is divided to be coupled with a second video connection port (may be one conforming to DVI-D specification) to transmit digital video signals and a third video connection port (may be one conforming to VGA. D-SUB specifications) to transmit analog video signals. Thereby the DVI-I connection port supporting the digital and analog signals can be connected to a computer to output digital and analog signals at the same time to be used by the second and third connection ports, and displayed on different display devices.
Abstract:
An apparatus for selectively coupling electrical connectors. The apparatus includes a common connector electrically coupled to a secondary connector and a primary connector electrically coupled to the common connector through an isolation means. The isolation means operates to electrically isolate the primary connector upon detection of an external connection to the secondary connector.
Abstract:
An interface module for interlinking a plurality of audio visual devices with a single video monitor includes a housing having an upper end with a plurality of sets of input jacks thereon, each set for coupling with a discrete audio visual device. An output cable extends from an opposing end of the housing that is connected to an input block on a video monitor. A switching mechanism establishes selective communication between the output cable and a select set of input jacks allowing a user to easily switch between multiple audiovisual devices without disconnecting or rerouting cables.
Abstract:
A cable connector (100) in accordance with the present invention includes an insulative housing (1) defining a number of passageways (13) therethrough, a number of contacts (2) assembled to the insulative housing and respectively received in the passageways, a cable (5) including a number of conductors (50) respectively electrically connecting with connecting portions of the contacts to form a number of junctions, a cover (6) enclosing the rear end of the housing (1) and junctions between the contacts (2) and the cable (5), the cover (6) having a mating face (620) having at least a longer edge (622) and a projection (621) formed on outer periphery of the cover (6) with front surface coplanar with the mating face of the cover the projection and defining a fastening hole (6210) therethrough; and a fastening member (7) inserted into the cover and coupling with the fastening hole (6210) for fastening the cable connector (100) to a coupling device.
Abstract:
A tamper-resistant coaxial terminator includes an inner body rotatably captivated within an outer shield. A deformable portion of the inner body extends within an annular recess formed in the outer shield. An optional RF port, containing a resistor, is press-fit within the inner body. The RF port, or alternatively, the inner body, is internally-threaded for engaging the outer conductor of an equipment port. A seal ring extends over the outer conductor of the equipment port and is urged by the outer shield to directly engage the internally-threaded portion of the terminator. A seal is also optionally disposed between the outer shield and the inner body to minimize moisture induced corrosion. A shipping cap, usable at either end of the terminator, helps protect the terminator during shipment and prevents entry of debris.
Abstract:
An in-line digital cable television adapter and method for receiving and converting digital television signals to an analog format for display on an analog television set. Dual-capable video decryption and decoding is available to support a television, VCR, and a picture-in-picture independently and simultaneously. Dual-BTSC audio and video frequency modulators are available for output. A bypass switch selectively switches between television channels for modulation and for passing an analog supplied television signal directly to the analog television set. An infrared transceiver integrated with the digital cable adapter receives infrared frequencies from a compatible infrared remote control and stimulates input to a target infrared receiver.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a compound electrical connector comprising a plug connector, an audio jack, a power jack and a radio frequency jack, together with a printed circuit board assembled in an insulation cover. The insulation cover has three cavities formed on one side thereof for receiving the three jacks respectively. Each of the audio jack, the power jack and the radio frequency jack has a contacting portion received respectively in one of the corresponding cavities of the insulation cover for contacting with complementary connectors and a soldering portion being soldered to a printed circuit board. The plug connector comprises a contacting portion protruded out from another side of the insulation cover for contacting with a complementary socket connector, and a soldering portion being soldered to the printed circuit board. Therefore, the compound electrical connector facilitates installing the jacks with different functions connector to an electronic device and saves space in the electronic device.
Abstract:
An interface panel structure used in an electric machine; comprises a fixed seat with a fixed seat with a holding element and sliding rails and a movable sliding seat installed therein. Fixing holes for accepting the holding element and sliding grooves operated in cooperation with the sliding rails are disposed in the sliding seat. In addition, a guide rod is installed in the sliding seat for touching off the holding the holding element to separate it from the fixing hole. When the holding element and the fixing hole are engaged, the sliding seat with interface outlets disposed at the front face thereof is hidden in the fixed seat fixed in the electric machine. And, there is no need to open holes on the surface of the electric machine by means of the interface panel structure.
