Abstract: A solution for reliable communication in an apparatus of a communication system is provided. The solution comprises receiving (302) from a network element data packets to be transmitted to a user terminal; maintaining (304) one or more transmit buffers for transmitting data packets to the user terminal; transmitting (306) data packets to a user terminal; receiving (308) information from the user terminal regarding whether one or more data packets are successfully or not successfully received; transmitting (310) on the basis of received information acknowledgement information to another network element of the communication system; receiving (312) a notification that one or more packets have been successfully transmitted to the user terminal from a second corresponding apparatus; and, if the one or more transmit buffers comprise the successfully transmitted packets, removing (314) the packets from the buffers.

Abstract: Provided is a wireless communication method. A terminal device acquires a first bit sequence of a target transport block after being encoded, the target transport block being transmitted based on a plurality of time domain unit sets; inputs the first bit sequence into a circular buffer. The terminal device reads a plurality of second bit sequences from the circular buffer based on at least one redundancy version (RV) and at least one position offset factor, wherein the at least one RV corresponds to at least one of the plurality of time domain unit sets, and the plurality of time domain unit sets or the at least one RV corresponds to the at least one position offset factor. The terminal device sends the plurality of second bit sequences respectively through the plurality of time domain unit sets to a network device.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method in a wireless device for adaptive HARQ retransmissions comprises receiving, from a network node, a request to initiate an adaptive hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) retransmission. The method comprises identifying a HARQ process associated with the HARQ retransmission request and determining whether a HARQ buffer of the HARQ process is empty. In response to determining that the HARQ buffer is empty, the method comprises not delivering the HARQ information to the HARQ process and not triggering an adaptive HARQ retransmission.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are provided for performing communication in a wireless communication system is provided. A number of hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) processes is set as N. The N is a natural number, one value within a maximum value, 16, and set based on a configuration of a base station (BS). Downlink control information (DCI) is received including a 1-bit HARQ-acknowledgment (HARQ-ACK) feedback request for all of N HARQ processes. HARQ-ACK information associated with all of the N HARQ processes is identified, based on the received DCI. A number of bits for the HARQ-ACK information is defined based on xN by the configuration, and the x is a natural number. The HARQ-ACK information is transmitted to the BS.

Abstract: There is provided a method performed by a relay node in a wireless network adapted for multi-hop routing of data packets. The method comprises to store a data packet received from a preceding relay node, PRN, in the network in a data packet buffer. The method also comprises to transmit the buffered data packet towards a succeeding relay node, SRN, in the network and to receive, from the SRN, a relay ACK message, RACK message and to determining, based on the received RACK, whether to flush the data packet from the data packet buffer. A corresponding relay node and computer program is also provided. There is also provided a method for handling data packet transmission in a wireless communication network configured for multi-path multi-hop routing together with a corresponding relay node and a corresponding computer program.

Abstract: Techniques provided herein select an operating mode from a plurality of operating modes. Various implementations establish a radio bearer with at least one network entity over a network using a first Radio Link Control (RLC) protocol entity and a second RLC protocol entity. Various implementations determine whether packet duplication is enabled for the radio bearer by processing Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP) configuration settings. In response to determining that packet duplication is enabled, various implementations duplicate uplink data packets over the network by submitting the uplink data packets to both the first RLC protocol entity and the second RLC entity. In response to determining that packet duplication is disabled and split bearer is enabled, various implementations select one of the first RLC protocol entity and the second RLC protocol entity for uplink data packet transmission.
