Abstract:
In an audio conferencing mixing system of the type taking a plurality of audio input streams of input audio information of conference participants, including mixing transition events and outputting a plurality of audio output streams including output audio information, a method of mixing the audio output streams so as to reduce the detectability of the mixing transition events, the method including the steps of (a) determining that a transition event is to occur; (b) determining that a masking trigger is to occur; (c) scheduling the transition event to substantially occur when the masking event occurs. Change blindness mechanism to mask changes in audio conference mix and maintain perceptual continuity.
Abstract:
A system and method for managing alerts of a mobile communications device is provided. The system includes the device, a processor, and a sensor for monitoring activity of a user and generating sensor data indicative of the activity. The processor is configured for processing the sensor data to determine a current activity of the user; detecting an alert corresponding to an incoming communication; classifying the alert as being immediate or deferred based at least in part on the current activity. If the alert is immediate, the processor is configured to announce the alert without delay; otherwise, the processor is configured to announce the alert after a delay. The delay can terminate when a holdback timer expires or the current activity changes to an activity that indicates that the user can be notified.
Abstract:
A computing apparatus uses an interactive user assessment test to identify and/or assess the need and skills of the user as part of an enrollment process for the user to register for the services of the system that provides real time communications connections between users and advisers. The advisers provide coaching services over real time communications connections provided via the system. A recommendation engine is configured to use the assessment results to recommend advisers for the user based on the need and skills of the user, as well as the real time availability of the advisers to provide the coaching services.
Abstract:
Disclosed are method, device and system for processing a calling requires message of a mobile terminal, the method comprising: triggering a pre-embedded blocking program in the calling process; upon detecting a calling request message, the blocking program acquires an incoming call number in the calling request message; the blocking program determines whether the incoming call number is a call number defined by a preset rule, if the incoming call number is a call number defined by the preset rule, then delaying the ring of the phone number defined by the preset rule. The present invention protects a user from the harassment of a malicious harassing call, thus avoiding unnecessary financial loss.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a mobile terminal control method, including: receiving a communication request sent by a communication request initiating party, and calculating a time interval between a time when the communication request is received and a time when a previous communication request from the communication request initiating party is received; and if the time interval is greater than a preset threshold, skipping generating a vibrating and/or ringtone alert for the communication request, and detecting an online status of a communications software account associated with the communication request initiating party and sending prompt information to an online communications software account, where the prompt information is used to indicate that a mobile terminal is in a Do Not Disturb mode.
Abstract:
A conference terminal control system that controls conference terminals connected through a network. The system includes a reservation unit to receive an input of conference room identification information of each of two or more conference rooms where a conference over a network is conducted and a conference date and time, and make a reservation to conduct the conference over the network in the conference rooms at the conference date and time by using conference terminals respectively arranged in the conference rooms; and a conference terminal control unit to control the conference terminals to be in a power-on state and control the conference terminals to be able to conduct the conference over the network, based on the conference date and time and pieces of conference terminal identification information that respectively identify the conference terminals on the network and that are based on the pieces of conference room identification information.
Abstract:
A transaction is received in a contact center. The transaction can be an email, an incoming call, an outgoing call, a video call, a text message, and/or the like. A best agent is determined to handle the transaction. A time is determined for the best agent to handle the transaction. The time can be based on a projected time that the agent will be able to handle the transaction, based on a callback time or any criteria. A schedule of the best agent is searched. The schedule of the best agent contains a movable event. A movable event can be any event that can be rescheduled, such as a break. When it is determined that the time for the best agent to handle the transaction is during and/or close to the movable event, the movable event is rescheduled to allow the best agent to handle the transaction.
Abstract:
Example embodiments of the present invention may include a method that includes collecting caller response timings to each of a plurality of dialog states conducted during a call, and estimating a plurality of parameters based on the caller response timings. The method may also include selecting a response completeness value responsive to the estimated plurality of parameters, the response completeness value is used to calculate at least one optimal timeout value. The method may also include selecting the at least one optimal timeout value, and setting the at least one optimal timeout value for each of the corresponding dialog states. The timeout value(s) may be used for subsequent calls to provide optimal user satisfaction and call success rates.
Abstract:
A system and method include a processor and a memory. The memory stores instructions, which when executed by the processor, causes the processor to allocate interactions to a server based on a function of a criteria over time, where the server can only handle a determined number of interactions at a time.
Abstract:
A computer-implemented technique can include joining, by a computing device having one or more processors, a conference session hosted by a server via a wireless computing network. In response to joining the conference session, the computing device can receive, from the server via the wireless computing network, a dial-in telephone number for reconnecting to the conference session. The computing device can detect a trigger condition indicative of a need to reconnect to the conference session via a cellular telephone network. In response to detecting the trigger condition, the computing device can initiate a telephone call to the dial-in telephone number via the cellular telephone network. In response to the server obtaining authentication of a caller identification of the computing device, the computing device can rejoin the conference session via the cellular telephone network.
