Abstract: Devices, methods and software for automated electrical connector positioning for electric vehicle (EV) charging are provided. Using, for example, the disclosed automatic charging device, a method for charging an EV includes determining receipt of an EV-side electrical connector to a charging zone of an EV charging environment. The method includes actuating a charger-side electrical connector from an initial position outside of the charging zone to a final position inside of the charging zone. The final position corresponds to the charger-side electrical connector matingly engaged with the EV-side electrical connector.

Abstract: A synchronous machine includes a stator with stator windings connected with stator terminals to an electrical grid and a rotor with rotor windings rotatable mounted in the stator, wherein a voltage regulator of the synchronous machine is adapted for outputting an excitation signal to adjust a current in the rotor windings for controlling the synchronous machine. A method for determining control parameters for the voltage regulator includes (i) receiving a first time series of values of the excitation signal and a second time series of measurement values of the terminal voltage in the stator terminals, (ii) determining coefficients of a system transfer function of the synchronous machine, and (iii) determining the control parameters for the voltage regulator from the coefficients of the system transfer function.

Abstract: An electrical switch including a frame, a first stationary contact, a second stationary contact, a roll element and a movable contact mounted to the roll element. Abstract: An electrical insulation mixture for forming a layer on a conductor surface is provided. The mixture includes an UV curable thermoset resin and a filler. The filler includes UV transparent platelets made of a platelet material. UV transparency is given for light in a wavelength range between 300 and 420 nm. Furthermore, a method for electrically insulating a metallic conductor is provided. The method includes obtaining the electrical insulation mixture, forming a jacketing on a surface of the metallic conductor using the mixture thus obtained, and exposing the mixture to ultraviolet radiation to cure the mixture, thus forming, from the jacketing, an electrical insulation layer on the surface of the metallic conductor. A metallic conductor with an electrical insulation layer can be obtained by using the electrical insulation mixture.
