Abstract:
A drive arrangement for articulating a liftgate of a motor vehicle between an open position and a closed position. The liftgate is mounted to a body of the motor vehicle for articulation about a pivot axis. The drive arrangement includes a mounting member for attachment to the body of the motor vehicle. A drive motor is attached to the mounting member. A crank arm is pivotally interconnected to the mounting member. The crank arm includes a driven gear. A linkage includes a first end attached to the crank arm and a second end attached to the liftgate. A drive gear is driven by the drive motor. A clutching mechanism is operative for selectively coupling and decoupling the driven gear to the drive gear.
Abstract:
An articulation device for a hatchback mounted pivoting on a motor vehicle via a swivel rod. A structure is provided for automatically controlling the hatchback pivoting movement by a pivoting movement of a first end of a rod relative to the vehicle body structure. The hatchback pivoting direction, relative to the second end of the rod, is reversed during the first end of the rod pivoting movement between two extreme angular positions associated with extreme closed and opened positions of the hatchback.
Abstract:
Pivot-hung door drive system with an electronic control system that contains at least one memory and one microprocessor, for an at least single-panel door, the door panel of which is driven by an electro-mechanical drive unit that acts in the opening and closing directions. The drive unit consists essentially of a drive motor with a transmission and a power transmission unit for the door connected to it, whereby the power transmission unit consists of a drive shaft which is connected with one end of an actuator lever and the pivot-hung door drive system is installed inside a door panel or inside a door frame or casing. The power transmission unit consists of a screw with a nut that partly surrounds it, which nut is positively and non-positively connected to a toothed rack, whereby the drive shaft is engaged with its gear teeth in the gear teeth of the toothed rack.
Abstract:
A power-operated tailgate has a bottom end that is pivotally attached to a vehicle by a hinge so that the tailgate pivots about a hinge axis between a raised position and a lowered position. A rotor is mounted on the vehicle for rotation about a rotor axis between a first position and a second position. A link is pivotally attached to the rotor and to the tailgate so that the tailgate is raised and lowered when the rotor is rotated back and forth between the first and second positions by a motor. The link cooperates with an over center stop on the vehicle when the tailgate is in the raised position and with a second stop on the vehicle when the tailgate is in the lowered position.
Abstract:
A power liftgate assembly for a liftgate of a vehicle having a power drive unit and a plurality of driven gears. The plurality of driven gears is selectively driven by the power drive unit. The assembly further includes a first drive arm pivotally coupled to the vehicle and a second drive arm pivotally coupled to the liftgate at a first end and pivotally coupled to the first drive arm at a second end. The liftgate assembly still further includes an engaging device selectively coupled to at least one of the plurality of driven gears. The engaging device engages at least one driven gear with the first drive arm, thereby enabling the driven gear to drive the first drive arm. The engaging device is positionable between an engaged and a disengaged position, wherein the engaging device is operable in the engaged position to engage the driven gear into driving connection with the first drive arm. The engaging device is also operable in the disengaged position to disengage the driven gear from the first drive arm to enable the first drive arm to actuate freely.
Abstract:
A shutter assembly for installation on the outside of a building wall including one or two shutter panels fitted with top and bottom rollers moveable along tracks in a plane outwardly spaced from and parallel to the external wall. A rack is carried by each panel inside thereof and a pinion, meshing with this rack, is carried by a shaft extending through the wall and provided at its inner end, inside a building room with a crank wheel for moving the shutter panels between opened and closed position at the side and in front of a window opening respectively. The shutter panels are heat-insulated and are provided with seals to extend around the periphery of the window opening when the panels are in closed position to thereby form an air insulating chamber with a window unit within the window opening. The top rollers together with the rack are fitted with a spring suspension to permit easy installation and removal of the rollers on and from the tracks and to accommodate any variation in the vertical position of the pinion which may have occurred during the installation.
Abstract:
A system for opening and closing a gate or door which includes a sprocket and a perforated rigid strip of material. The perforated rigid strip of material is mounted to the gate or door. The sprocket is positioned so that the teeth of the sprocket will engage the perforations in the rigid strip. Therefore, when the sprocket is rotated the rigid strip will be moved by the sprocket thus causing the gate or door to open or close.
Abstract:
The present invention is provided with a mechanism for controlling the opening and closing of a door comprising a speed reduction means for reducing a rotational speed. A high speed shaft is connected to the speed reduction means and is connectable to a means for rotating the input shaft, and a low speed output shaft is connected to the speed reduction means. A governor is mounted on the input shaft for limiting the rotational speed thereof, to also regulate the rotational speed of the output shaft. A brake is provided for preventing rotation of the output shaft, and a self-closing mechanism is operatively connected to the door. The self-closing mechanism is adapted for storing energy when the door is opened to an open position, and a connecting means operatively connects the output shaft to the self-closing mechanism. A releasing means is provided for releasing the brake to permit rotation of the output shaft under the urging of the self-closing mechanism whereby the self-closing mechanism releases the energy stored therein so as to close the door to a closed position when the brake is released by the releasing means.
Abstract:
In a window with a frame of extruded profile members the exterior side of an edge portion of a thermo pane is supported by a first flange portion of the profile member and the inside by a glazing bead connected with the frame profile member. The main frame mainly consists of wood profiles, the exterior sides of which are covered by weather-resisting coverings. A hinge member at the top of the window comprises an edge portion (28) of an extruded profile member (27) forming a hinge pivot firmly connected to the main frame portion (20) at this side and a hook-shaped wall portion (6) of the opposite frame profile member (1) forming a hinge blade. At one of the other sides of the window means are provided to ensure engagement of said hinge pivot and hinge blade forming portions in the closed position of the window. Such means may comprise a sliding block (31) arranged displaceably in a track in the frame profile member, which block can be moved between a position opposite a retaining device anchored in the main frame structure for permanently securing the frame in case of a fixed window and a position in which it can be connected to a motion transfer member which is guided in a recess in the wood profile of the main frame for complete accommodation of the motion transfer member in the closed position of an openable window. Extruded profile members (20c, 24) may be fastened to the main frame wood profiles forming tracks (20b) for reception and movement control of accessories such as a roller blind (54), an insect screen (43) and/or a Venetian blind (51).
