Abstract:
A mounting assembly for holding and moving a propane cylinder between a first operational position and a second lower loading/unloading position with respect to a support structure of a forklift is provided. The mounting assembly includes a base member adapted for connection to the forklift support structure, a cradle for supporting the cylinder between the first and second positions, and first and second pivot arms having a first end pivotally connected to the base member and a second end pivotally connected to the cradle. In the first position, the cradle is in a generally horizontal orientation. In the second position, the cradle is in a generally vertical orientation. Angular movement of the first and second pivot arms causes rotation of the cradle between the generally horizontal and generally vertical orientations. An adjustable locator pin is connected to the cradle for receiving a locator opening in a valve guard of different propane cylinders.
Abstract:
A pressure container includes a metal socket and a CFRP layer that contacts the metal socket. A metal oxide layer is formed on a first contact area where the socket contacts the CFRP layer. The socket may be made of aluminum or aluminum alloy, and the oxide layer may be formed by anodizing the socket.
Abstract:
A valve device for filling containers, particularly containers intended to contain liquefied gases, includes a valve body in which a gas duct is defined at the inlet of the container, the gas duct extending predominantly in an axial direction. A closure is axially movable in the valve body away from and towards a valve seat in order, respectively, to open and shut off the gas duct. A float type actuator, capable of exerting a thrust on a second end of the closure, is provided. A deflector cover is disposed transversely to the gas pipe and is integral with the valve body. The deflector includes a guide cavity in which a first end of the closure is slidably engaged.
Abstract:
An engine unit, particularly for urban transport, comprising an engine (3) supplied with a compressed gas and having a expansion chamber (9), a liquid gas tank (28) in communication with the engine (3), and means (M, M′) for gasifying the liquid gas, which are interposed between the liquid gas tank (28) and the engine (3) for obtaining compressed gas. The gasifying means (M) comprise a gasification chamber (22) in communication with the liquid gas tank (28) and a liquid fuel tank (39) which is connected to the gasification chamber (22). The gasification chamber (22) is in fluid communication with both the liquid fuel tank (39) for the combustion of the liquid fuel with the oxygen of the liquid gas (22), and the expansion chamber (9) so that the compressed liquid gas and gaseous products of combustion process are used to do useful work.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a metal nozzle boss provided with a sealing device, which has highly improved tightness and is combined with a plastic liner of a composite vessel used as a high-pressure vessel. The metal nozzle boss uses an elastic seal ring and a tightening piece in the plastic liner, so that the nozzle boss reliably seals the junction of the nozzle boss and the liner and prevents gas leakage from the vessel. The blade part of the nozzle boss has a dovetail-shaped locking groove, with locking ridges formed in the locking groove. Thus, when the plastic liner is produced by injecting molten resin into the locking groove, the plastic liner is securely combined with the metal nozzle boss. The composite vessel having the metal nozzle boss can be used as a fuel tank for natural gas vehicles or a hydrogen tank for fuel cell vehicles.
Abstract:
A pressure tank including, a tank wall; a supporting member which includes fiber reinforced plastic and supports an outer surface of the tank wall; a supersonic wave sensor which is connected to the tank wall, and which detects a sonic wave propagated in the tank wall; and an internal abnormality determination member which is connected to the supersonic wave sensor, and which determines whether an internal abnormality exits in the tank wall, wherein the internal abnormality determination member determines the existence of the internal abnormality based on the detection result during gas is charged into the pressure tank, and outputs an abnormality signal when the internal abnormality was determined to exist.
Abstract:
A hydraulic accumulator, in particular a bladder accumulator, includes two at least partially adjacent plastic casings (12, 14). The first plastic casing (12) has a collar part (16) at least at one end thereof. To produce a leakproof accumulator arrangement economical to produce, a gap opening (24) between the casings (12, 14) extends up to a point at which the casings (12, 14) are positioned together in a coaxial manner, and a disk valve (50) is provided as a valve for controlling the supply and discharge of the medium in the opening (10).
Abstract:
A fixed and/or stationary modular unit consists of a hydraulic fluid tank, a pressurization pump, and a compressed gas transportation system consisting of a cylinder or set of cylinders. Each cylinder has two ends, a charging end and a dispensing end, with actuated valves positioned at each end. A pair of valves are located at each charging end of each cylinder, with one valve connected to an incoming hydraulic fluid line and the other valve connected to a hydraulic fluid return line. A valve is connected at the dispensing end of each cylinder. Adapters at each end of the cylinder have curved J-tubes that extend into the cylinder. The J-tube on the charging end curves downward and the J-tube on the dispensing end curves upward. The cylinder or sets of cylinders are inclined to a desired level for the dispensing process.
Abstract:
A reservoir safely accommodates a fuel using a barrier layer, which at least partly separates the contact areas of the reservoir and/or contact elements to be protected. The barrier layer is formed of a fire-proof medium which displaces volatile and ignitable fuel having a density less than the density of the fire-proof medium, providing a chemical-physical separation of hydrogen from the air surrounding the reservoir. In vehicles, particularly aircraft, safe operation may be improved by application of the barrier in the reservoir. In one embodiment, there is an additional reservoir filled with an inert material that surrounds the hydrogen reservoir.
Abstract:
A fluid supply valve attachment device that includes: a fixing member formed with a recessed fitting section; and a fluid supply valve provided with a protruded insertion section that is inserted and fixed in the recessed fitting section. Clearance between a reference inner peripheral surface of the recessed fitting section and a reference outer peripheral surface of the protruded insertion section is set smaller than clearance between an internal thread of the recessed fitting section and an external thread of the protruded insertion section in a state that the protruded insertion section is inserted and fixed in the recessed fitting section.
