Abstract:
A system for generating usage statistics for a communications routing system from data generated at routing points and at end points of the system has a processor having access to the communications routing system for analyzing the data and generating the statistics, and a server having access to the processor for rendering the generated statistics into a format for display. The data used to generate the statistics includes routing path information for events routed through the communications routing system and optionally interaction histories recorded at certain routing points and end points in the communications routing system.
Abstract:
A method of effecting access to services in a telecommunication network is the fact that the service can be accessed from the user's terminal identically and simultaneously with the use of two complementary interfaces: a voice and a text terminal with the use of USSD commands, where the service is effected when the user initiates a connection with the service access number, which in the case of a voice interface is treated as a telecommunication number of the chosen service, and in the case of a text interface it is treated as a USSD command, consisting of the same digit sequences, and differing only in the characters ,,*” and ,,#”, included therein, whereas the differences are responsible for choosing a channel by the telecommunication network, and what comes with it, also for choosing of an interface, through which the user's connection with the service would be effected, and the decision on how this connection is to be handled preferably is made by the service, basing on information related to the incoming connection, received either directly from the telecommunication network or indirectly from the telecommunication operator.
Abstract:
A system and method for integrating voice and data operations into a single mobile device capable of simultaneously performing data and voice actions. The mobile device working in a network capable of exchanging both cell phone calls and data items to the mobile device. By wearing an earphone or an ear-bud device the user is capable of dealing with voice conversations while working with data centric information related to the current caller. By providing a data-centric device with voice capabilities there is a new range of features that allow incoming data events to trigger outgoing voice events.
Abstract:
A voice message system is provided that includes a voice control that receives voice messages and identified voice message pattern types within respective voice messages. The voice message system also includes a graphical user interface that displays voice message representations associated with the voice messages and visual indicator identifiers that reference portions of the voice message representations that contain the identified voice message pattern types.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for analyzing communications of a contact center are provided. A representative system incorporates a first computer application operative to reconstruct progress of a communication through the contact center such that information corresponding to the progress of the communication is presented to a user.
Abstract:
A method of controlling an electronic device, during a voice call, using audio inputs, the method including detecting a first interrupt during the voice call while audio input control is disabled; controlling the electronic device, in response to detection of the first interrupt, to prevent the inclusion of audio inputs within the voice call and to enable audio input control of the electronic device; and controlling the electronic device in response to detection of a second subsequent interrupt, to disable the audio input control and to re-enable the inclusion of audio inputs within the voice call.
Abstract:
A system for notifying an Internet-accessible device of a communication placed from a first telecommunications device to a second telecommunications device by a calling party is disclosed. The system includes a switch and a node in communication with the switch. The switch is for detecting the communication. The node is configured for communication with the Internet-accessible device and includes a first module and a second module. The first module is for determining information about the calling party. The second module is for determining information about the Internet-accessible device.
Abstract:
To provide a convenient selection of origin and/or destination of a route, in an on-line map service, the user is permitted to select and view a map and select any point from the displayed map as one of the points necessary for computation of a route. In an example, the user selects a start point, and the client device provides pixel coordinates of the first selected point. The user then selects the other point from the map, and the client device provides coordinates of the other selected point. A GIS program at the client converts the coordinates to map units and communicates with the server in order to access map information, compute a route, and send back route information for presentation to the user. The resulting route information, for example, may take the form of a map display highlighting the route or textual instructions for traveling the route.
Abstract:
A display device has a light source for back-lighting a display surface, a modulator for modulating at least one physical characteristic of the light source, and at least two filters provided in the display surface. Each of the two filters corresponds to a physical characteristic value modulated by the modulator and to a message to be displayed on the display surface. The filters are placed on an optical path along which the light rays from the light source travel, and the messages at least partially overlap on the display surface. In certain embodiments, at least two of the filters are placed one on top of the other in the display surface. In other embodiments, at least two of the filters each consist of a set of filters, and the sets of filters are alternately juxtaposed in the display surface. In specific embodiments, the modulator varies the spectral band of the light reaching the filters, and the filters have different spectral bands of transparency.
Abstract:
A mobile social interaction system that enables users to communicate to desired candidates via handheld and/or mobile devices is provided. User profiles or other criteria can be employed in order to facilitate matching candidates. The innovation enables the users to anonymously communicate via voice, video and/or text messaging communications. Additionally, the innovation provides for the ability to record a state, suspend an application/service based upon the state at commencement of a communication, and restore the application to the recorded state upon termination of the communication.
