Abstract:
A pharmaceutical order filling system receives pharmaceutical orders and uses an accumulation device to accumulate bottles of pharmaceuticals corresponding to the pharmaceutical orders. The accumulation device is configured with a table assembly that includes a plurality of holding tubes configured to accumulate multiple bottles corresponding to pharmaceutical orders. The accumulation device also includes a bottle pick and place assembly configured to place bottles into holding tubes and an unload assembly configured to empty accumulated bottles from holding tubes into an unload assembly tube. The accumulation device may be further configured to receive and temporarily store a single bottle of a prescription order. The accumulation device may be configured to release accumulated bottles onto a conveyor in an upright position.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for integrating data are described. In an example embodiment, a plurality of data attributes of comparison data and the plurality of data attributes of a master record are respectively compared to determine that there is a difference, the comparison data originating from a data source. A relative level of source priority of the data source of the comparison data is determined relative to the data source of a current state version of the master record in accordance with source evaluation criteria. The current state version of the master record is stored in reference data based on a determination that there is a difference and that the source priority of the data source of the comparison data is equal to or greater than the data source of the current state version of the master record. Mapped comparison data is used to update the current state version of the master record based on the determination that there is a difference and that the source significance of the data source of the comparison data is equal to or greater than the data source of the current state version of the master record to create an updated state version of the master record, the mapped comparison data being based on the comparison data. Additional methods and systems are disclosed.
Abstract:
A pharmaceutical filling system for a high volume pharmacy is described. The system can include a paper feed device and method. The system may include a paper collator with at one selectively openable shelf. A control device may monitor the capacity of the selectively openable shelf, and instruct a printer to hold printing additional print jobs. The selectively openable shelf may then be opened to allow the printed literature resting thereon to fall to a lower shelf, and the printer can then be restarted. Sheets of printed literature may be drawn from the paper collator, collected with any other sheets of printed literature associated with a prescription order, and mated with the prescription order for shipment.
Abstract:
A system for a check and exception center may include a holding area, a manual section, a distribution section. The manual section may include a plurality of handling areas each enabled for pill counting, pharmacist verification, exception handling, or combinations thereof. The distribution section may be disposed proximate the manual section, and may include a robot and a scanner. The robot may be adapted to pick a container from the holding area and to move the container to the scanner for scanning. The robot may also be further adapted to direct the container to a first handling area of the plurality of handling areas. At least one handling area of the plurality of handling areas may include an evaluation device, and the evaluation device may be configured determine a second handling area being enabled for a determined action with respect to the container, determine workloads of the first handling area and the second handling area; and select a handling area from the first handling area and the second handling area with a lower workload to receive the container.
Abstract:
A pharmaceutical order filling system receives pharmaceutical orders and uses an automated dispensing device to dispense pharmaceuticals into containers. The automated dispensing device is configured with a filling cabinet that stores and dispenses measured quantities of pharmaceuticals and is further configured to stage measured quantities of pharmaceuticals in buffer tubes to enable efficient fulfillment of the pharmaceutical orders. Containers may be disposed on a pallet which may be moved within an automated dispensing device to place the containers under buffer tubes to receive measured quantities of pharmaceuticals from the buffer tubes into appropriate containers in an efficient manner.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for manually filling a prescription order. A manual fill device may be incorporated into a manual fill center of a pharmacy operated by one or more pharmacists and/or pharmacist technicians to manually fill certain prescription containers. The manual fill device may include a control unit which may operate at the direction of the order processing device. The manual fill device may also include a distribution section automating distribution of containers for manual fulfillment, and a manual section in which a pharmacist may utilize available pharmaceuticals to manually fill orders.

Abstract:
Method and systems for accumulation are described. In one embodiment, a dispensing station includes a receiving opening, a dispensing opening and a storage area. The dispensing station receives and dispenses a container. A transportable storage system includes multiple partitions disposed on a carrier portion to define multiple carriage sections. The carriage sections are electronically identifiable and selectively hold or eject the container. A bin apparatus for receiving the container includes a movable portion to selectively hold and release the container. A control unit for commanding the bin apparatus to dispense the container to a desired carriage section of the transportable storage system is provided. Additional methods and systems are disclosed.
Abstract:
A system comprising a staging area and a packing area. The staging area may include a plurality of staging bins and a shuttle moveable along the plurality of staging bins. A staging bin of the plurality of staging bins may be configured to selectively retain a component of an order therein. Such staging bin may be configured to selectively release the component to the shuttle. The packing area may include a slide, a scanner, and a wrap seal conveyor. The shuttle may be configured to release the component onto the slide, and the scanner may be operable to scan and verify the component during placement of the component onto the wrap seal conveyor.
