Abstract: An inlet guide vane assembly having a plurality of pivoting vanes interconnected with a mechanism useful to move the vanes between positions. The vanes can be connected via a series of links and reciprocating hinges which together transmit motion from a drive vane to a number of driven vanes without the need for a sync ring. Motion received by a drive vane is transmitted via a first link to a reciprocating hinge, where the reciprocating hinge is capable of both pivoting and moving in a reciprocating manner along a path. The reciprocating hinge can also be coupled with a second link which transmits motion imparted from the drive vane via the first link to a driven vane. The driven vane is connected via another second link to another reciprocating hinge, which in turns transmits further motion via another first link to another driven vane.

Abstract: An impact tool is provided which includes a drive source configured to rotate an output drive. A hammer is movable in a first direction to apply a rotational impact force on an anvil which rotates the output drive. A first hammer angle sensor set to a first signal channel and located proximate to a surface of the hammer. A plurality of regularly spaced targets are located on the surface of the hammer. Each of the plurality of regularly spaced targets are detectable by the first hammer sensor. And detection of one or more of the plurality of regularly spaced targets by the first hammer sensor indicates movement of the hammer.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides for a heat exchanger having a heat exchanger shell and a heat exchanger core defined by plurality of core elements releasably connected together when positioned within the heat exchanger shell. Each core element is defined by first and second opposing plates permanently fixed together with a fluid flow path formed therebetween. A coolant flow path is formed between adjacent core elements. A fluid seal positioned between adjacent core elements is configured to form a fluid tight seal between the fluid flow path and the coolant flow path. Individual core elements may be removed from the heat exchanger core to permit removal of coolant precipitated material deposits therefrom.

In one illustrative embodiment, a method of operating a positive displacement pump includes sensing, with a pressure sensor disposed at a fluid outlet of the positive displacement pump, a back pressure at the fluid outlet, transmitting a pressure signal associated with the sensed back pressure from the pressure sensor to a controller of the positive displacement pump, and identifying, on the controller, a volume of fluid pumped by the positive displacement pump using the pressure signal.

Abstract: According to one aspect of the present disclosure, a drain system, including a sensor in communication with a reservoir and controller, uses algorithmic control of a drain valve to adjust the interval and duration of actuation of the drain valve to regulate a fluid level within the reservoir. In embodiments applying the drain system to a gas compressor system, the disclosed control algorithm enables the controller to prevent the loss of compressed gas through an open path out the drain and further to prevent condensate generated by operation of the compressor system from backing up in the reservoir and reentering the flow of compressed gas. The control algorithm adjusts the interval and period of actuation of the drain valve such that as operating conditions change the drain valve opens more or less frequently for longer or shorter periods in response to varying condensate load.

Abstract: A fluid connection joint to couple tubular pipes intended to convey gas, compressed air and other fluids. The fluid connection joint includes a deformable internal ring having sealing surfaces internally to engage with an outer surface of a first tubular element and frontally to engage with a second tubular element. The deformable internal ring is located within a housing that is coupled to a flange of the second tubular element by fixing screws. The tightening of the fixing screws results in a substantially radial compression of the internal ring and seals around the first tubular element and a second substantially axial compression of the frontal seal against the flange.
