Abstract: A two-part curable composition comprises a Part A and a Part B. The Part A composition includes polyuretdione having an average uretdione ring functionality of at least 1.2. Part B composition includes polythiol having an average sulfhydryl group functionality of at least 1.2. At least one of the Part A composition and the Part B composition may further comprise accelerator for addition of the polythiol to the polyuretdione. The accelerator comprises a basic salt having the formula M+Zb−x y wherein M+ is a cation having a single positive charge a, wherein a is 1, 2, or 3; Zb− is an oxide anion having a negative charge b−, wherein b is 1 or 2; and x and y are positive integers, wherein x equals y times b. Cured compositions, methods of making them and articles including them are also disclosed.

Abstract: Continuous adjustment appliances are provided that can store a large number of geometries that can be successively accessed throughout orthodontic treatment, with each geometry can correspond to an arrangement of the patient's teeth. An appliance according to the present disclosure can be stimulated to transition among the myriad geometries, which can include changes to the overall shape of the appliance as well as the position and geometry of the cavities corresponding to a patient's teeth. Methods of creating the continuous adjustment appliances and methods of treatment using the continuous adjustment appliances are also revealed.

Abstract: A display film includes a transparent polymeric substrate layer and a transparent aliphatic cross-linked polyurethane layer disposed on the transparent polymeric substrate layer. The transparent aliphatic cross-linked polyurethane layer has a glass transition temperature in a range from 11 to 27 degrees Celsius and a Tan Delta peak value in a range from 0.5 to 2.5. The display film has a haze value of 1% or less.

Abstract: There is provided an article comprising at least a first surface having a first binder layer selected from at least one of linear resins and resins having low cross link densities, where the first binder layer has a first major surface opposite a second major surface; and a plurality of microspheres at least partially embedded in the first major surface of the first binder layer. There is also provided an article comprising a first surface having a first binder layer selected from at least one of linear resins and resins having low cross link densities; and a plurality of microspheres at least partially embedded a the first major surface of the first binder layer, where for at least a portion of the first major surface the plurality of microspheres covers 30% to 50% of that portion, and the microspheres are substantially uniformly spaced.

Abstract: A display film includes a transparent polymeric substrate layer having a 0.2% offset yield stress greater than 110 MPa and a transparent aliphatic cross-linked polyurethane layer having a thickness of 100 micrometers or less disposed on the transparent polymeric substrate layer. The transparent aliphatic cross-linked polyurethane layer has a glass transition temperature in a range from 11 to 27 degrees Celsius and a Tan Delta peak value in a range from 0.5 to 2.5. The display film has a haze value of 2% or less.

Abstract: Heat de-bondable optical articles include two optical substrates and a heat de-bondable adhesive article disposed between them. The adhesive article includes a heat-shrinkable substrate and an optically clear adhesive proximate to the heat-shrinkable substrate. Optical articles can be prepared by disposing the heat-shrinkable substrate and the optically clear adhesive between two optical substrates. The optically clear adhesive covers a majority of the surface area of the optical substrates, and the heat-shrinkable substrate is located near the edge of the optical substrates.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides an extrudable article and a composition, each including at least one polyurethane including hydroxyl groups and latent isocyanate groups in the form of uretdione groups. The hydroxyl groups are present on a first polyurethane and the latent isocyanate groups are present on either the first polyurethane or a second polyurethane and a ratio of the latent isocyanate groups to the hydroxyl groups is greater than 1.2:1. A method of making the extrudable article is provided including reacting in an extruder a polymerizable composition including a uretdione-containing material including a reaction product of a diisocyanate reacted with itself, a hydroxyl-containing compound, and an isocyanate-containing compound. A method of making a core-sheath filament is provided including forming a core composition of the at least one polyurethane and wrapping a sheath composition including an ethylene copolymer or a polyolefin around the core composition. Further, methods of printing a composition are provided including heating and mixing the extrudable article, such as in an extruder, to form a molten composition, then dispensing the molten composition through a nozzle onto a substrate.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are non-aqueous compositions including: a flowable Part A including at least one resin and Reactant A; and a flowable Part B including at least one resin and Reactant B; wherein at least one of flowable Part A and flowable Part B further includes a free radically polymerizable resin; wherein at least one of flowable Part A and flowable Part B further includes a free radical initiator system; wherein flowable Part A and flowable Part B are capable of being mixed to provide a flowable mixed composition; wherein when flowable Part A and flowable Part B are mixed, Reactant A and Reactant B are capable of interacting to cause a non-free radical reaction within a first staging time to provide a first staged stable consistency for the mixed composition; wherein Reactant A comprises an acid and Reactant B comprises a base, and upon mixing flowable Part A and flowable Part B, the Reactant A acid is capable of reacting with the Reactant B base in an ionic acid-base reaction; and wherein the mixed composition having the first staged stable consistency is capable of forming a hardened dental composition upon initiation of free radical polymerization.
