    Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a storage device, for monitoring a vehicle are disclosed. A vehicle monitoring system for monitoring a vehicle includes one or more processors and one or more computer storage media storing instructions that are operable, when executed by the one or more processors, to cause the one or more processors to perform operations. The operations include: receiving, from a vehicle occupancy monitor and by the vehicle monitoring system, vehicle occupancy data that indicates presence of a vehicle occupant; receiving, by the vehicle monitoring system and from a sensor, sensor data that indicates an attribute of the vehicle; analyzing, by the vehicle monitoring system, the vehicle occupancy data and the sensor data; and based on analyzing the vehicle occupancy data and the sensor data, performing a vehicle monitoring system action.

The methods, systems, and apparatus include actions of determining, using one or more first frames of a video sequence, that two people each of whom is depicted in at least one of the first frames satisfy a grouping criteria that indicates that the two people should be grouped for video analysis, determining, using one or more second frames of the video sequence at least some of which were captured after the one or more first frames and which depict at least one of the two people, that the two people satisfy a degrouping criteria that indicates that the two people should not be grouped for video analysis, determining that a physical distance between the two people violates a distance criteria, and providing an alert that the distance criteria is violated.

    Abstract: Techniques are described for trash monitoring using video analytics. In some implementations, a schedule for placing trash for collection is obtained, video of a scene that includes trash when trash is placed for collection is obtained, whether the trash has been placed for collection according to the schedule is determined from the video, and in response to determining that the trash is not placed for collection according to the schedule, a notification that the trash has not been placed for collection is provided.

In one aspect, a method includes obtaining reference videos from a camera within a premises of a home, determining, from the reference videos, timing of actions in a routine that a particular person performs before leaving the home, determining from a sample video from the camera within the home that the particular person appears to be out of sync in performing a particular action based on the timing of actions in the routine determined from the reference videos, and in response, providing a notification to the particular person.
