Abstract: A method includes determining whether a first access point of a plurality of access points and a second access point of the plurality of access points should communicate simultaneously over a shared channel in a first network and in response to determining that one of the plurality of access points won contention of a transmission opportunity for the shared channel, dividing the transmission opportunity into a plurality of time slots. The method also includes scheduling transmissions of the first and second access points into the plurality of time slots according to the determination whether the first and second access points should communicate simultaneously over the shared channel and communicating, to the second access point and over a wired network or a second network different from the first network, an indication of whether the second access point should communicate during a first time slot of the plurality of time slots.

Abstract: Techniques for determining a range between a wireless station (STA) and a wireless access point (AP) using channel state information are described. An AP determines channel state information corresponding to an STA. The AP determines, based on the channel state information, one or more fine timing measurement (FTM) parameters. A plurality of FTM messages are transmitted between the AP and the STA, based on the one or more FTM parameters. The STA is configured to determine an estimated range to the AP based on the plurality of FTM messages.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides techniques for Stream Classification Service (SCS) policy validation for downlink and uplink traffic. A network device receives an SCS request from an associated STA, which specifies one or more sets of TCLAS information for a data flow transmitted between the network device and the STA, each set of TCLAS information being accompanied by associated QoS profile information for the data flow. The network device compares the sets of TCLAS information and associated QoS profile information with one or more cached application profiles, and determines that there is no match. In response to the determination, the network device performs packet analysis and confirms that the sets of TCLAS information and associated QoS profile information align with the type of service of the data flow under defined network polices. In response to the confirmation, the network device applies one or more treatments to the data flow.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes preemption techniques in wireless fidelity (WiFi) networks using full duplex. An apparatus includes a first radio, a second radio, a third radio, a memory, and a processor communicatively coupled to the memory. The processor, while transmitting first messages using the first radio, receives a first frame from a device using the second radio and in response to receiving the first frame, preemptively terminates transmitting the first messages using the first radio. The processor, after terminating transmitting the first messages using the first radio, receives second messages from the device using the third radio.

Abstract: Techniques for improved peer-to-peer grouping in multi-link operations are provided. An indication of radio frequency (RF) capabilities of a peer-to-peer device is transmitted, and the peer-to-peer device receives a group ID assigned by a wireless access point (AP) based on the RF capabilities, where the group ID is associated with a set of links that can be used for peer-to-peer communications between peer-to-peer devices in a first group of peer-to-peer devices. The peer-to-peer device can request that the AP schedule a transmission opportunity for a first peer-to-peer communication using the group ID. In response to receiving a trigger frame comprising the group ID, the first peer-to-peer device performs the first peer-to-peer communication using the transmission opportunity.

Abstract: Embodiments herein describe assigning RUs to P2P stations to perform P2P communication. An AP can assign trigger frames to assign RUs to STAs to use when transmitting data to the AP. In one embodiment, the AP polls the P2P STAs associated with it to receive interference data. This data can indicate the affect other peer STAs have on the P2P STAs when transmitting data. Using the interference data, the AP can determine whether another P2P pair or a non-P2P station can be assigned RUs to transmit at the same time, and at what data rates.

Abstract: Techniques for improved peer-to-peer communication are provided. A set connectivity metrics among a set of wireless devices on a plurality of wireless channels in a wireless network is collected, and a wireless channel of the plurality of wireless channels is identified, based on the set of connectivity metrics, to use for peer-to-peer communication. A request is received, from a peer-to-peer device, for peer-to-peer communications, and the wireless channel is indicated to the peer-to-peer device, where the peer-to-peer device uses the first wireless channel for peer-to-peer communications in response to the indication.

Abstract: Disclosed methods and systems for efficiently gathering reports from stations coupled to an access point via a wireless network. In some cases, the reports may be attached to block acknowledge frames, which often occur. Alternatively, when multiple stations operate with assigned resource units during a transmission opportunity (TXOP), the reports are embedded in the spare capacity of a physical protocol data units used during the TXOP.

Abstract: Automating and extending path tracing through wireless links is provided by receiving request to perform a network trace over a wireless link provided by an Access Point (AP) configured as a transparent forwarder between a trace source and a trace target; monitoring a trace packet from a first time of arrival at the AP, a first time of departure from the AP, a second time of arrival at the AP, and a second time of departure from the AP; monitoring a buffer status of the AP at the first time of arrival and the second time of arrival; and in response to identifying a network anomaly based on the trace packet and the buffer status, adjusting a network setting at the AP.
