Abstract: An electrical connector includes an insulative housing and a plurality of contacts retained in the housing, a carrier associated with an electronic package therein to be loaded into the housing, a load plate pivotally mounted by one end of the housing for downwardly abutting against the electronic package for assuring mechanical and electrical connection between the electronic package and the contacts, and a dust cover detachably attached to the carrier during shipping while being removed from the carrier when the electronic package is loaded unto the housing and downwardly pressed by the load plate in a later time.

Abstract: An electrical connector assembly includes an electrical connector mounted upon a printed circuit board, and a heat sink fastening seat mounted upon the printed circuit board and beside the connector. The heat sink fastening seat includes a pair of metallic mounting bars spaced from each other and located by two lateral sides of the connector in the transverse direction. A pair of alignment posts are formed on the corresponding mounting bars, respectively. A pair of metallic spring blades are respectively, in the vertical direction, aligned with and mounted upon the corresponding mounting bars for cooperation with the corresponding components of the heat sink for fastening.

Abstract: An electrical connector (100) includes an insulative housing (1), a number of conductive contacts (5) retained in the insulative housing, a metal shell (4) embedded in the insulative housing and a metal cover (3) assembled to the insulative housing. The insulative housing includes a base (10) and a slot (6) formed above the base, and the conductive contacts embedded into the base and defining contact portions (51) protruding into the slot and soldering portions (52) opposite to the contact portions. The metal shell includes a main portion (41) embedded into the base, and a longitudinal side portion (40) bending from at least one side of the main portion and extending in the front-to-back direction. The side portion locates at one side of the slot and electrically connects with the metal cover. Above all, the manufacturing process of the electrical connector is simplified, and the shielding effect is enhanced.

Abstract: A tool for catching an IC package comprises a main body, a plurality of operation arms and a plurality of clamping arms. The main body has a base and a plurality of lateral portions rotating relative to the base. The operation arms each extends upwardly from a top portion of a corresponding lateral portion. The clamping arms each extends downwardly from a lateral portion and is formed with a clasping portion at a free end thereof, the clasping portion has a latching slot. The operation arms bring the lateral portions to rotate inwardly and open the clamping arms.
