Abstract:
Systems, methods and devices for gathering data concerning exposure of predetermined survey participants to media displays are provided. A portable monitor is arranged to receive certain types of terrestrial-based signals, and in some specific cases, satellite-based signals, and to use such signals to generate location data indicative of a location of the portable monitor. The location data and stored media display data is analyzed to evaluate the survey participant's exposure to one or more media displays.
Abstract:
A golf club head cover comprises an enclosure formed by a pair of complementary cover sections connected to pivot about a manually actuated spring-biased clip member. The clip member normally biases the cover sections into a closed condition adapted to enclose a head of a golf club. The clip member includes a pair of handle elements projecting outward from the enclosure that are adapted to be gripped between the thumb and one or more fingers by a user and depressed towards each other to move the cover sections so they pivot and spread apart into an open condition. The user grips the handle elements with one hand and depresses them so the enclosure is in the open condition. While maintaining a grip on the handle elements to keep the enclosure in the open condition, the user with his or her other hand places the head of a golf club between the spread apart cover sections, or withdraws the head, as the case may be. When the head of a golf club is between the spread apart cover sections in the open condition, or is withdrawn, the user releases the grip on the handle elements so the cover sections come together automatically into the closed condition.
Abstract:
A media system is provided having synchronized multiple camera signals of at least one event or activity for transmission over the internet to end users for selective display and/or manipulation. The media system may provide that end users are able to select and view and manipulate one or more of the multiple streaming video signals at will. The media system may be used in connection with a great variety of events or activities, including without limitation concerts, sports events, political events, sales events, movie premiers, public events, training events and religious events. A method is also provided having synchronized camera signals of at least one event or activity for transmission over the internet to end users for selective display and/or manipulation. The multiple camera signals are provided to end users for selective display and/or manipulation by end users. A media player is also provided for processing synchronized camera signals representing different views of at least one event or activity and providing end users of the media player the options of selectively displaying and/or manipulating at least one of the views at will.
Abstract:
A three-dimensional image is generated using global or local coordinate, 3-D spatial data, and image data gathered from one or more locations relative to a scene. The global or local position of 3-D spatial data points on the image is determined. The position of a point of interest on the three-dimensional image is determined by creating a three-dimensional polygon using adjacent 3-D spatial data points. The global or local position of these points may then be calculated using, for example, a ray tracing algorithm. The global or local position of a point of interest may alternatively be approximated, for example, by interpolating the global or local coordinates of the 3-D spatial data point(s) closest to the point of interest. Furthermore, a distance, bearing, or other measurement between two points of interest may also be calculated.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for measuring and gathering data relating to publication usage by participants in publication readership studies. Some methods and systems employ portable monitors carried by participants of the studies along with publications fitted with various devices, such as piezoelectric transducers, RFID tags and others devices and circuits.
Abstract:
Various embodiments of the present invention provide modular decorative trim. The trim may comprise interconnecting segments which are assembled to provide a decorative, adjustable header molding for mounting on top of a door or window, for example. In one example, installation of the heading molding may comprise affixing a first side section to a surface using double-sided adhesive tape, telescopingly sliding a central section over the first side section, telescopingly sliding a second side section into the central section, affixing the second side section to the surface, and adjusting the central section to be centrally located with respect to the two side sections.
Abstract:
In one embodiment of the present invention a modular partition decoration system comprises interconnecting segments which may be assembled to provide a decorative feature that spans the distance between two opposing surfaces, such as walls, and facilitates concealment of partition hardware therebetween, such as, for example, decoratively concealing a shower curtain rod.
Abstract:
The Jensenboard allows the user to simulate writing on a document without leaving permanent markings and is easily operated by a single person.
Abstract:
A system includes a remote station and a local station having a receiver. The receiver operates in an unlocked state corresponding to its best lock frequency (BLF). The local station derives data indicative of a ratio of the BLF to a reference frequency of the receiver, and telemeters the data to the remote station. The remote station estimates the BLF based on (i) the telemetered data, and (ii) a predetermined estimate of the reference frequency.
Abstract:
Apparatus and methods for including a code having at least one code frequency component in an audio signal are provided. The abilities of various frequency components in the audio signal to mask the code frequency component to human hearing are evaluated and based on these evaluations an amplitude is assigned to the code frequency component. Methods and apparatus for detecting a code in an encoded audio signal are also provided. A code frequency component in the encoded audio signal is detected based on an expected code amplitude or on a noise amplitude within a range of audio frequencies including the frequency of the code component.
