    Abstract: According to one embodiment, a display device includes a first insulating substrate, a second insulating substrate, a first pixel electrode and a second pixel electrode, a wavelength conversion element to convert light of a first wavelength polarized in a first polarization direction into light of a second wavelength polarized in a second polarization direction, and a liquid crystal layer having a first thickness in an area opposed to the first pixel electrode, and having a second thickness greater than the first thickness in an area opposed to the second pixel electrode.

    Abstract: Phosphors or quantum dots cannot convert all the excitation lights, but the remaining excitation lights have to be absorbed with a color filter without passing through. A display device includes an array substrate having a color layer and an opposite substrate. The color layer includes a red fluorescence layer for converting blue light into red, a green fluorescence layer for converting blue light into green, and a blue fluorescence layer for compensating blue light. Both of the red fluorescence layer and the green fluorescence layer include the phosphors or quantum dots with two types of dominant wavelengths. The blue fluorescence layer includes the phosphors or quantum dots with one type of dominant wavelength.

    Abstract: A liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal between a TFT substrate including pixels formed in a matrix, and a counter substrate. A pixel electrode is formed in an area surrounded by scanning lines and video signal lines. A common electrode is formed in a lower layer of the pixel electrode through an interlayer insulating film. A long side of the pixel electrode of a first pixel is inclined at a first angle clockwise at a right, angle to the extending direction of the scanning line. A long side of the pixel electrode of a second pixel is inclined at the first angle counterclockwise at a right angle to the extending direction of the scanning line. The liquid crystal is a negative type liquid crystal. Further, a protrusion formed in the long side of the pixel electrode has a side parallel to the extending direction of the scanning line.

    Abstract: Disclosed is an intelligent reflecting surface including a plurality of radio-wave reflecting devices, an adjusting substrate over the plurality of radio-wave reflecting devices, and an anti-reflective film located over the adjusting substrate and configured to absorb radio waves. Each of the plurality of radio-wave reflecting devices includes a pair of substrates and a plurality of radio-wave reflecting elements between the pair of substrates. The anti-reflective film has a lattice shape as a whole. An edge is covered by the anti-reflective film and a portion surrounded by the edge is exposed from the anti-reflective film in each of the plurality of radio-wave reflecting devices. A frequency of the radio waves is equal to or greater than 400 MHz and equal to or less than 50 GHz, for example.
