Abstract: A touch panel, a display panel, and a display unit achieving prevention of erroneous detection caused by external noise. The touch panel includes: a plurality of detection scan electrodes extending in a first direction and a plurality of detection electrodes facing the plurality of detection scan electrodes and extending in a second direction which intersects the first direction. The one or more selected detection scan electrodes are selected, in a desired unit, from the plurality of detection scan electrodes, to be supplied with a selection pulse, and each of the first and the second detection electrodes is selected from the plurality of detection electrodes.

Abstract: A display apparatus includes a first substrate, a second substrate facing the first substrate, lead wirings provided on the first substrate or the second substrate and a first insulator part provided on an upper surface of the second substrate. Abstract: The reliability of a display device with an input device is improved. A plurality of detection electrodes (input position detection electrodes) forming an electrostatic capacity between them and a common electrode of a display device to detect an input position are formed on a different substrate from substrates configuring the display device. Moreover, a polarizing plate and the substrate on which the plurality of detection electrodes are formed are adhesively fixed via, for example, an adhesive layer so that the plurality of detection electrodes are fixed so as to be separated apart from the display device. Thus, a distance between electrodes (the detection electrode and a driving electrode) for detecting an input position can be set separately from a thickness of the display device, and therefore, reduction in detection sensitivity (detection reliability) for the input position due to increase in the electrostatic capacity can be suppressed.

Abstract: A display unit with touch detection function includes a plurality of pixel signal lines each transmitting a pixel signal for display; a pixel signal line drive section applying the pixel signal to each of the pixel signal lines; display elements each performing display based on the pixel signal; touch detection electrodes each outputting a detection signal based on a change in capacitance occurring due to an external proximity object; and a touch detection section detecting, in a touch detection period, a touch event based on the detection signal, the touch detection period being different from a display period for the display elements to perform display operation. The pixel signal line drive section maintains a voltage of each of the pixel signal lines at a certain level during the touch detection period.
