Abstract:
The present discloses a semiautomatic finger protection device, which comprising a bumper positioned between an outer surface of the door and an doorpost when the door is closed, and positioned in a gap on the hinge side of the door when the door is opened; a securing member to position the bumper; and a connecting member having the two ends retractably connected with said bumper and said securing member respectively. The bumper has a flexible wrapping means received in the bumper to extend/retract the connecting member.
Abstract:
This invention relates to labels. In one embodiment the labels comprise a polymer facestock layer, a nano-porous layer underlying the facestock, and an adhesive layer underlying the nano-porous layer. In another embodiment, the labels comprise a polymer facestock layer, a nano-porous layer underlying the facestock, and a metal layer overlying the facestock or underlying the facestock between the facestock and the nano-porous layer. These labels can be bonded to substrates of glass, plastic, or metal using a water based adhesive which is in contact with the nano-porous layer.
Abstract:
A multi-projector video wall system employs a blending frame to blend the overlapping portions of two adjacent images I1 and I2. The blending frame is preferably located a distance Dframe from the aperture of the projector and has an optimal half frame width Wf from the axis of the lens of the projector. A camera-based feedback loop can be employed to fine-tune the optical blending by digitally altering the image source.
Abstract:
The invention relates to adhesive compositions, preferably those for pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes, comprising an adhesive polymer and, as tackifier or plasticizer, a zwitterionic compound. The zwitterionic compounds include those of formula I ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are each alkyl, hydroxyalkyl, aminoalkyl or aryl which may be interrupted in the alkyl chain by one or more oxygen atoms, R.sup.4 is H or OH,Z.sup..theta. is CO.sub.2.sup..theta. or SO.sub.3.sup..theta.,x and y are each 0, 1 or 2 provided that the sum of x and y is less than or equal to 4.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a pressure sensitive label for use in a cold transfer process that can be used for garment identification and labeling. The pressure sensitive label can be applied on textile surface or any other surfaces for which heat transfer is unfavorable or unavailable. The pressure sensitive label can remain on the substrate to which it is attached through repeated washing and drying cycles.
Abstract:
An oligoamide-modified elastomer includes an elastomer having oligoamide units grafted to the elastomer and forming a plurality of sheet-like structures through hydrogen bonding, the sheet-like structures interacting through non-covalent interactions to form crystalized domains within the elastomer.
Abstract:
A method, a device and computer readable storage media facilitate providing screen content including a plurality of video frames that are displayed by a computing device. During coding of the screen content, a suitable predictor is found that is used to code pixel blocks from one or more frames. The suitable predictor is found by selecting a pixel block of a current frame, conducting a direction based search by comparing pixel blocks within a search window of a reference frame with the selected pixel block of the current frame to determine whether a match exists, and, in response to a determination that no sufficient match has been found, conducting a feature oriented search by comparing pixel blocks of the reference frame with the selected pixel block of the current frame to find a suitable match based upon a common feature.
Abstract:
The subject invention is directed to tetradentate bis-(NHC carbenes) alkylene ligand Pt(II) complexes, tetradentate bis-(NHC carbenes) alkylene ligands, and its ligand precursors, for preparation of the Pt(II) complexes. The Pt(II) complexes show a deep blue emission with an improved quantum efficiency and can be used for fabrication of OLEDs with an electroluminescence layer that comprise the bis-(NHC carbenes) alkylene ligand Pt(II) complexes.
Abstract:
The development of fluorescent bioprobes comprising organic fluorescent compounds that exhibit aggregation induced emission (AIE) properties, methods of producing the same, and their practical applications for in vitro and in vivo bioimaging.
