Abstract:
According to one embodiment a microelectromechanical (MEMS) switch is disclosed. The MEMS switch includes a top movable electrode, and an actutaion electrode with an undoped polysilicon stopper region to contact the top movable electrode when an actuation current is applied. The undoped polysilicon stopper region prevents actuation charging that accumulates over time in a unipolar actuation condition.
Abstract:
This application discloses a microelectromechanical (MEMS) switch apparatus comprising an anchor attached to a substrate and an electrically conductive beam attached to the anchor and in electrical contact therewith. The beam comprises a tapered portion having a proximal end and a distal end, the proximal end being attached to the anchor, an actuation portion attached to the distal end of the tapered portion, a tip attached to the actuation portion, the tip having a contact dimple thereon. The switch apparatus also includes an actuation electrode attached to the substrate and positioned between the actuation portion and the substrate. Additional embodiments are also described and claimed.
Abstract:
Context-based contact information retrieval systems and methods that automatically extract contact information from a user's context, allow a user to capture, reuse and share personal and organizational contacts in the form of a business card or an audio/video recording, as desired. In various embodiments, contacts are retrieved based on the user's context and are presented in a manner that does not disrupt the user's current task. In various embodiments, the user accesses the details of the contacts with a single interaction. In various embodiments, the systems and methods monitor the user's current context and check for matches. The systems and methods then assign a score to each match and unobtrusively present at least some of the matches to the user based on the assigned score.
