Abstract: A high-resolution display system is provided.A display system with high display quality is provided. The display system includes a processing unit and a display unit. A first image signal is supplied to the processing unit. The processing unit has a function of generating a second image signal by using the first image signal. The processing unit has a function of generating a correction signal. The display unit includes a pixel. The pixel includes a display element and a memory circuit. The second image signal and the correction signal are supplied to the pixel. The memory circuit has a function of retaining the correction signal.

Abstract: Power consumption of a display device is reduced. The display quality of the display device is improved. Video with high display quality is displayed regardless of the usage environment. The display device includes a first pixel performing display with reflected light, a second pixel including a light source and performing display with light from the light source, a driver portion driving the first pixel and the second pixel, a photometric portion measuring and outputting illuminance of the external light, and a control portion generating a first gray level output to the first pixel and a second gray level output to the second pixel on the basis of information of the illuminance input from the photometric portion and outputting the first and second gray levels to the driver portion. In addition, the control portion generates the first and second gray levels so that the first gray level is the largest among the combinations of the first and second gray levels at which chromaticity and luminance of light obtained by adding light output from the first pixel and light output from the second pixel have predetermined values.

Abstract: The resolution of a display apparatus having a light detection function is increased. A display apparatus includes a plurality of transistors and a light-emitting and light-receiving device in a subpixel. The light-emitting and light-receiving device has a function of emitting light of a first color and a function of receiving light of a second color. One of a source and a drain of a first transistor is electrically connected to a first wiring, and the other thereof is electrically connected to a gate of a second transistor. One electrode of the light-emitting and light-receiving device is electrically connected to one of a source and a drain of the second transistor, one of a source and a drain of a third transistor, and one of a source and a drain of a fifth transistor. One of a source and a drain of a fourth transistor is electrically connected to a second wiring, and the other thereof is electrically connected to the other of the source and the drain of the third transistor.

The first output terminal supplies a first selection signal in response to the first pulse width modulation signal in a period from supply of the first trigger signal to supply of the second trigger signal, the first output terminal supplies the first selection signal in a period during which the batch selection signal is supplied, the second output terminal supplies a second selection signal in response to the second pulse width modulation signal in the period from the supply of the first trigger signal to the supply of the second trigger signal, and the third output terminal supplies a third trigger signal.

Abstract: Display unevenness in a display panel is suppressed. A display panel with a high aperture ratio of a pixel is provided. The display panel includes a first pixel electrode, a second pixel electrode, a third pixel electrode, a first light-emitting layer, a second light-emitting layer, a third light-emitting layer, a first common layer, a second common layer, a common electrode, and an auxiliary wiring. The first common layer is positioned over the first pixel electrode and the second pixel electrode. The first common layer has a portion overlapping with the first light-emitting layer and a portion overlapping with the second light-emitting layer. The second common layer is positioned over the third pixel electrode. The second common layer has a portion overlapping with the third light-emitting layer. The common electrode has a portion overlapping with the first pixel electrode with the first common layer and the first light-emitting layer provided therebetween, a portion overlapping with the second pixel electrode with the first common layer and the second light-emitting layer provided therebetween, a portion overlapping with the third pixel electrode with the second common layer and the third light-emitting layer provided therebetween, and a portion in contact with a top surface of the auxiliary wiring.

Abstract: A display apparatus with high luminance and a long lifetime is provided. The display apparatus includes a first layer and a second layer positioned above the first layer. Abstract: To provide a display device capable of performing image processing. Each pixel is provided with a memory circuit in which desired correction data is retained. The correction data is generated by calculation in an external device and written to each pixel. The correction data is added to image data by capacitive coupling and supplied to a display element. Thus, the display element can display a corrected image. Through the correction, image upconversion can be performed, or image quality decreased because of variations in pixel transistor characteristics can be corrected.

The first element is electrically connected to the first pixel circuit, performs display with first brightness on the basis of the first state, performs display with second brightness on the basis of the second state, and performs display using the image signal on the basis of the third state. The first brightness is darker than the second brightness.
