Abstract: A laser scanner includes a distance measuring unit which has a light emitting element for emitting a distance measuring light, a distance measuring light projecting unit, a light receiving unit and a photodetector for producing a light receiving signal, and which performs a distance measurement based on the light receiving signal, an optical axis deflecting unit provided on a distance measuring optical axis and for deflecting the distance measuring optical axis, a projecting direction detecting unit for detecting a deflection angle of the distance measuring optical axis and a control component for controlling the optical axis deflecting unit and the distance measuring unit, wherein the optical axis deflecting unit comprises a pair of optical prisms capable of rotating and motors for rotating the optical prisms, and wherein the control component is configured to control the optical axis deflecting unit, scan the distance measuring light and acquire scanning data under scanning conditions corresponding to a measurement range.

Abstract: Provided is a target instrument including a pole, a prism provided on the pole, and a terminal device provided on the pole, wherein the terminal device comprises an image pickup module, a tilt sensor which detects tilts in two axial directions, and an arithmetic control module, wherein the image pickup module acquires an image which includes a reference object, the tilt sensor detects a tilt angle of a target instrument, and the arithmetic control module calculates a tilt direction of the target instrument from a position of the reference object in the image, calculates a tilt direction of the target instrument based on tilt angles in the two axial directions of the tilt sensor, acquires a deviation between the two tilt directions, and corrects the tilt angles in the two axial directions of the tilt sensor to tilt angles in directions parallel to an optical axis of the image pickup module and orthogonal to the optical axis based on the deviation.

Abstract: Provided is a method for controlling an ultrasonic motor to reduce deterioration of automatic tracking performance, and a surveying instrument for the same. The present invention provides a method for controlling an ultrasonic motor in a surveying instrument including a rotary shaft, an ultrasonic motor that drives a rotary shaft, a tracking unit that includes a light emitting unit and a light receiving unit and tracks a target, and a clock signal oscillation unit that outputs a clock signal, wherein at the time of low-speed rotation of the ultrasonic motor, based on the clock signal, a ratio of an acceleration period in which a drive signal is applied and a deceleration period in which the drive signal is stopped in a drive cycle of the drive signal of the ultrasonic motor is set, and the light emitting unit is made to emit light in the deceleration period.

In a method for controlling an ultrasonic motor according to an aspect of the present invention, in a low-speed rotation range of an ultrasonic motor, a ratio of an acceleration period as a time of application of the drive signal in a control cycle is controlled, and a time to start the acceleration period is randomly shifted for each control cycle. In a method for controlling an ultrasonic motor according to another aspect, a time to start the acceleration period is regularly shifted for each control cycle. In a method for controlling an ultrasonic motor according to still another aspect, second-half acceleration control and first-half acceleration control are alternately repeated.

Abstract: A surveying device body includes a distance measuring section to measure a distance to the measurement target, an optical axis deflector that deflects distance measuring light with respect to a reference optical axis, a measurement direction imaging section that obtains an observation image, and an attitude detector that detects an incline of the surveying device body. A computation controller displays a portion of the observation image on the display unit, computes a direction angle of the distance measuring optical axis on the basis of a detection result of the attitude detector and a deflection angle of the distance measuring optical axis with respect to the reference optical axis, and measures the measurement target on the basis of the direction angle and a distance measurement result of the distance measuring section using a reference point as a reference.
