Abstract:
A valve timing control apparatus includes: a driving force transmission member; a driving side rotational member, to which a driving force is transmitted; a driven side rotational member coaxially provided to the driving side rotational member, and rotating relative to the driving side rotational member, thereby rotating a camshaft for opening and closing a valve; and a hydraulic pressure chamber formed by the driving side rotational member and the driven side rotational member. The driving side rotational member includes a housing formed into a closed-end cylindrical shape and having a bottom portion formed to close one end of the housing in an axial direction thereof and an opening portion formed to be opened at the other end the housing in the axial direction thereof, and a plate member closing the opening portion. The driving force transmission member, formed into a ring shape, is attached to the bottom portion.
Abstract:
A valve timing control device that enables simplification of the manufacturing process and reduction of the number of parts while suppressing deformation of a driven rotary element. The valve timing control device includes a driving rotary element, a driven rotary element, a plurality of partitions each for dividing a fluid pressure chamber into a regarded angle chamber and an advanced angle chamber, and a connecting element for connecting the driven rotary element to a camshaft. The connecting element includes a press fitting portion having a plurality of fitting segments configured to fit to an inner circumference of a recess of the driven rotary element. At least one of centerlines of the fitting segments extending in a radial direction does not overlap any of the partitions.
Abstract:
Even when sliding occurs between a radially extending face of a spring member and at least one of a driving-side rotary member and a driven-side rotary member, wear of the at least one of the driving-side rotary member and the driven-side rotary member is prevented. Along the axial direction of the camshaft, a torsion spring is provided between the driven-side rotary member and a housing side face portion for urging the relative rotational phase to the angle advancing direction or the angle retarding direction, and a spring washer is disposed between the driven-side rotary member and the torsion spring.
Abstract:
A electrical component attachment structure for a two-wheeled motor vehicle includes a main frame supporting components of a vehicle body such as an engine, a pair of right and left center frames extending vertically behind the engine, and a rear swing arm swingably supported by a pivot shaft provided to the center frame. In this structure, a drive chain which transmits a driving force from the engine to a rear wheel is arranged along the rear swing arm. An electrical component is arranged on a vehicle inner side of the right and left center frames above the drive chain behind the engine.
Abstract:
To place a muffler in a front area to make it suitable for an off-road motorcycle, A down frame extending downward obliquely from a head pipe ahead of an engine and a lower frame connected with its lower end, extending backward under the engine, are provided. A muffler is located in the vicinity of the joint between the down frame and the lower frame where its rear surface is curved forward in a convex pattern along the down frame and the lower frame. An exhaust pipe extending from a cylinder head is almost S-shaped as seen sideways and its forward curved portion and lower backward curved portion are vertically arranged with its lower end connected with a lower portion of the muffler.
Abstract:
A valve timing control apparatus includes a driving rotation member, a driven rotation member, an advance angle chamber displacing a rotation phase of the driven rotation member relative to the driving rotation member in an advance angle direction, a retard angle chamber displacing the relative rotation phase in a retard angle direction, an advance angle oil passage, a retard angle oil passage, an oil pump, a passage switching valve switching a position between first and second positions, and a drain mechanism provided between the passage switching valve and at least one of the advance angle chamber and the retard angle chamber to accelerate discharge of the hydraulic fluid from one of the advance angle chamber and the retard angle chamber when the hydraulic fluid is supplied to the other of the advance angle chamber and the retard angle chamber.
Abstract:
An air cleaner device for a motorcycle including a cylindrical filter element disposed in a box of an air cleaner, wherein air purified by the element is sent to an air-intake system. Further, a rectifying member is disposed around the outer periphery of the cylindrical filter element at a predetermined distance apart therefrom and the rectifying member is formed into a cylindrical shape so as to cover the entire outer periphery of the element.
Abstract:
A gene encoding D-sorbitol dehydrogenase (SLDH); a process for producing SLDH by culturing host cells transformed by an expression vector having the above gene; and a process for processing L-sorbose or 2-keto-L-gulonic acid (2KLGA) by using the above culture. 2KLGA is an important intermediate in the production of L-ascorbic acid. Thus, a process for producing L-ascorbic acid from the 2KLGA obtained by the above process is also provided.
Abstract:
A DNA derived from plasmid pF4, which contains a region involved in the control of autonomous replication in a bacterial cell belonging to the genus Gluconobactor, with or without a part of the polynucleotide region not essential for the autonomous replication therein, particularly, the same DNA comprising, as the region involved in the control of autonomous replication in the bacterial cell belonging to the genus Gluconobactor, a part or the entirety of the polynucleotide of nucleotide No. 2897-3969 region of Sequence Listing SEQ:ID No. 1. A plasmid vector containing this DNA, transformant transformed with this plasmid vector, and a method for producing a physiologically active substance comprising culturing this transformant. The full length nucleotide sequence of plasmid pF4 and the region containing DNA involved in the control of automonous replication in the bacterial cell belonging to the genus Gluconobactor were specified, whereby the region not essential for the automonous replication could be removed to provide a shortened pF4. The shortening of the region in the vector for autonomous replication increases the remaining region of the vector and allows incorporation of many structural genes into the vector. Consequently, the vector can have many functions.
