    Abstract: An illumination apparatus, comprising a light source unit, a rod-shaped light guide configured to guide light from the light source unit and emit the light from a light emitting surface, a covering member configured to contain the light guide, and a housing configured to contain the light source unit, the light guide, and the covering member, the light guide including a protruded portion configured to suppress a shift in a longitudinal direction, the covering member including an opening, and the housing including a receiving portion configured to receive the protruded portion of the light guide, wherein the protruded portion of the light guide is engaged with the receiving portion of the housing via the opening of the covering member.

    Abstract: An image sensor unit includes: a light condenser that collects light from the reading target object; an image sensor that receives the collected light collected and converts it into an electric signal; a housing having an elongated shape housing the light condenser and image sensor; and an elongated rigid member provided on a side surface elongated in an elongated direction of the housing. The housing has a multiple positions for fixation on the side surface. The rigid member is fixed to the side surface of the housing at at least two positions. A warping amount adjusting part is provided between the positions at which the rigid member is fixed. The warping amount adjusting part is capable of holding warping amount in the direction of the optical axis of the light condenser of the housing by intervention of a warping amount adjusting member between the rigid member and the housing.

    Abstract: An illumination apparatus includes: a light source; a rod-like light guide having an incident surface that enters light from the light source that is disposed on one side in a main-scan direction, a diffusing surface that diffuses light that enters from the incident surface, and an emission surface that linearly emits light towards a bill; and a reflection member having a reflection surface that reflects light diffused by the diffusing surface to the light guide. The light guide has a locking projection that is locked in the reflection member on one side in the main-scan direction. The reflection member has a locking hole in which the locking projection is locked. A cut-out portion at which one part is cut out is formed in the locking hole.

    Abstract: A configuration is adopted in which an image sensor unit includes: a sensor substrate on which a plurality of photoelectric conversion elements are mounted; a light source that includes light-emitting elements and is for illuminating a document; a light guide that guides light from the light source from one end face in a longitudinal direction and linearly illuminates the document; a rod lens array imaging reflected light from the document on the sensor substrate; and a frame attaching each of these, and in which the frame detachably includes a spacer provided in proximity to the light source, and the spacer includes a light shield roof elongated so as to cover the light source and the end of the light guide.
