Abstract:
A fluid filter assembly and a replaceable fluid filter cartridge are described where the fluid filter cartridge has an endplate that acts as a lid for the housing in which the fluid filter cartridge is installed. The endplate also includes a fluid flow passage formed therein through which filtered fluid exits or fluid to be filtered enters.
Abstract:
Water filter cartridges, water filter assemblies, and refrigerator appliances are provided. A water filter cartridge includes a cap, the cap defining a generally central aperture, and a canister connected to the cap. The water filter cartridge further includes a filter media disposed within the canister and cap, and a flange connected to the filter media. The flange includes a neck and a collar, the neck extending from the collar generally along an axial direction, the collar extending from the neck generally along a radial direction. The flange further includes a ramp extending generally along the axial direction from the collar, at least a portion of the ramp extending through the aperture of the cap.
Abstract:
A backwash arrangement for cleaning a cylindrical filter screen includes a cylindrical filter screen within which extends an axial central conduit. A number of radial branch conduits extend outwards from the central conduit towards the cylindrical filter screen, each provided with a spring-loaded nozzle arrangement. The spring-loaded nozzle arrangement is biased into contact with the cylindrical filter screen, and includes a nozzle opening for passing across the cylindrical filter screen, and a pair of wheels deployed on opposing sides of the nozzle opening for rolling engagement with the cylindrical filter screen.
Abstract:
A fluid filter with a housing, a releasable cover, and a replaceable filter having a filter body and two end discs. The filter is plugged onto a housing pipe and a locking ring is guided on the pipe, preloaded in a push-out direction. The locking ring is locked in a pushed-out position by a locking device. An unlocking device guided by the filter unlocks the locking device when the filter is pushed onto the pipe and enables the locking ring and the filter to be pushed in. When the filter is fitted into the housing, a seal on the end disc or locking ring interacts with a housing sealing surface to separate an untreated filter side from a clean side. When the locking ring is in the pushed-out position and the filter bears against the locking ring, the seal is held away from the sealing surface of the housing.
Abstract:
A filter element has a first end cap and a ring of filter media. The first end cap includes structures projecting from the periphery to form a keyed connection with a filter bowl and filter head. Some of the projections are fixed lugs, while other projections are latch fingers arranged to move in an axial direction during mounting and dismounting of the filter assembly components. The filter element first end cap is configured to mate with the upper end of a filter bowl to form an element/bowl assembly. The mated structures of the element and bowl form the male part of a bayonet connection. The filter head defines a corresponding female bayonet connector part. The latch fingers retain the element to the bowl and the assembled element and bowl to the filter head.
Abstract:
A filter cartridge (30) comprising a filter membrane (33) and at least a support element (31) fixed to the filter membrane (33), the support element being provided with at least a snap-engaging element (36) suitable for snap-engaging to a support body (20) following a reciprocal translation between the filter cartridge (30) and the support body (20) along a nearing axis (A), the support element (31) further comprising disengaging means (38) suitable for disengaging the snap-engaging element (36) from the support body (20) following a reciprocal rotation between the filter cartridge (30) and the support body about the axis (A).
Abstract:
A fluid filter comprising a housing, a releasable cover and a replaceable filter having a filter body and two end plates. The filter is placed on a housing standpipe which has on its free side, facing the cover, an axially displaceable endpiece. The endpiece is preloaded in the expulsion direction and in that position is blocked by a locking system against insertion which prevents the cover from connecting with the housing. An unlocking device guided by the filter unlocks the locking system and allows insertion of the endpiece. The locking system is formed by locking tabs which are radially movable, and each have a locking face facing in the axial direction. The tabs are preloaded in the locking direction and each lock the endpiece in its expelled position against axial insertion relative to the standpipe. The tabs can be radially moved into their unlocking position by the unlocking device.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a filter, in particular for fluids polluted by admixtures of water, such as diesel oil, comprising a filter housing (1) in which at least one filter element (9) can be received. During the filtering process, fluid can flow through the filter medium (11) from the outer unfiltered side (13) of the filter element into an inner filter cavity (17) forming the filtered side (19). The filter is characterised in that a water passage (39) inside a pipe connector (35) of an end cap (23) forms a fluid path (51), which is separated from the other fluid path (55) that forms the connection between the inner filtered side (19) of the filter element (9) and a fluid outlet (37) of the housing (1) in the functional position of the filter element (9). The filter is further characterised in that the element receptacle (29) forms a through-passage (59) toward the water collecting chamber (31), and scaling assemblies (83, 87) located between the through-passage (59) and the pipe connection (35) of the end cap (23) de-limit a connecting chamber (36) on the outside of the pipe connector (35). The connecting chamber connects the other fluid path (55) to the fluid out-let (37) of the housing (1).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a liquid filter, having a filter housing, which contains a receiving space for a ring filter element. The liquid filter further has a no-load duct, which is opened when the ring filter element is taken out. A pin is formed on a lower end disc of the ring filter element, the pin projects parallel to the longitudinal axis. A ramp is formed on the bottom of the receiving space. The ramp is matched to the pin in such a manner that, when the ring filter element is inserted into the filter housing, the pin slides downwards on the ramp and penetrates the opening of the no-load duct. A structure is in the receiving space, the structure allows functional insertion of the ring filter element if the ring filter element slides with its pin along the ramp until the pin penetrates the opening of the no-load duct.
