Abstract: A filter cartridge is for a vehicle fluid filter group that includes a filter body and cartridge engagement members in the filter cartridge and body engagement members in the filter body. The cartridge engagement members and body engagement members are configurable by mutual axial movement between an engagement configuration and a disengagement configuration. The cartridge filter includes an end plate with the cartridge engagement members arranged around the cartridge axis. The cartridge engagement members include two blocking groups, each blocking group including a blocking element. Each blocking element includes a stem and a tooth laterally projecting from the stem and defining an engagement undercut. In the blocking configuration, the tooth is in a housing region of the body engagement members, and an engagement projection is housed in the undercut. In axial movements, each stem yields elastically radially and/or laterally upon action of the engagement projection on the tooth.

Abstract: A liquid filter in the form of a filter element or a filter cartridge provides torsion locking relative to a filter head when the housing of such filter is threaded onto a filter head. Many embodiments employ a filter that includes a nipple portion at a top end with the torsion lock detent provided outboard of the nipple portion or integrated into the nipple portion. Many embodiments employ a simplified shoulder transition region at the top end of a torsion locked filter element. Valve actuation and/or filter differentiation is used in some embodiments. Different torsion locking arrangements, deformable thread profiles and other liquid filter features are disclosed.

Abstract: A connecting structure connects a filter housing to a filter housing retaining structure. The connecting structure conducts a liquid that is to be cleaned to the filter housing and discharges a purified liquid. The connecting structure includes a filter housing cover that connects to the filter housing and that receives a filter medium. The filter housing cover has attachment elements that connect to corresponding attachment elements of the filter housing retaining structure to establish an exchange of fluids between the filter housing retaining structure and the filter housing. Filter housing cover guides are on opposing sides of the filter housing cover; and guides on the filter housing retaining structure engage the filter housing cover guides when connecting the attachment elements of the filter housing cover with the attachment elements of the filter housing retaining structure to support and linearly guide the filter housing cover during the connection process.
