Abstract: A pattern control or programming device for a lawn sprinkler having a nozzle-equipped body rotating or oscillating on a generally vertical axis and having a movable guide element for controlling the elevation of discharge of water from the nozzle. A cam having a variable cam surface contour is engaged by a cam follower which imparts movement to the guide element to vary the elevation of water discharge from the nozzle at desired positions of the nozzle during rotary or oscillatory movements of the sprinkler body. A cam mounting structure operates to hold the cam in desired set contours of the cam surface.

Abstract: A sprinkling device of continuously rotating, non-oscillating motion comprises a hollow outside cylinder with a hollow inside cylinder therein. The outside cylinder has an arcuate opening while the inside cylinder has a pluralilty of arcuately spaced rows of relatively small peripherally disposed openings. The inside cylinder rotates continuously and the arrangement is such that when one row of the relatively small openings is rotated out of register with the relatively large opening, the next row of relatively small openings comes into register with the larger opening.

Abstract: A positively driven, rotating sprinkler head having adjustable, cam controlled valving means to regulate water flow therethrough to maintain water distribution within predetermined areas not necessarily circularly symmetric. The valving cam may be manually set during operation to visually determine the periphery of the sprinkled area. Abstract: An atomization device including a pair of counter-rotating rollers, a fluid source configured to coat at least one of the rollers in a feed fluid, and a baffle unit. The counter-rotation of the rollers stretches the feed fluid into a fluid filament between the two diverging surfaces of the rollers. The stretched fluid filaments breaking into a plurality of droplets at a capillary break-up point of the feed fluid. The baffle unit introduces a baffle fluid within the interior of the device, the baffle fluid transporting formed droplets of the feed fluid from the atomization device. Excess or misguides atomized fluid droplets are collected by the baffle unit and are recycled back into the device for use in later atomization processes. The variation of atomization device parameters allows for the selection of droplets having desired physical parameters.
