Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosed subject matter provide an apparatus having a device with a micronozzle array disposed on a micro-fabricated fluidic die. The device may include a first gas distribution plate and a second opposing plate, where the micro-fabricated fluidic die is disposed between the first gas distribution plate and the second opposing plate, wherein the first gas distribution plate is irreversibly joined to the micronozzle array with a seal that is gas-tight, and where the first gas distribution plate includes a plurality of sealed flow paths. A manifold may be reversibly joined to the first gas distribution plate, where the micro-fabricated fluidic die and the first gas distribution plate and the second opposing plate are disposed between the manifold. A thermally conductive plate may have at least one window that provides a clearance fit for the device across a range of motion relative to the thermally conductive plate.

Abstract: A particle removed from a substrate is suppressed from adhering to the substrate again. A substrate cleaning apparatus includes a substrate holder configured to hold the substrate; a gas nozzle configured to jet a cleaning gas to the substrate on the substrate holder; and a nozzle cover provided to surround the gas nozzle. The cleaning gas is jetted to a decompression chamber of the nozzle cover from the gas nozzle, and a gas cluster configured to remove the particle on the substrate in the decompression chamber is generated. A gas for a gas curtain is jetted from an end portion of the nozzle cover toward the substrate, and the gas curtain is formed between the substrate and the end portion of the nozzle cover.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for performing repair operations using an unmanned aerial vehicle. The methods are enabled by equipping the UAV with tools for rapidly repairing a large structure or object (e.g., an aircraft or a wind turbine blade) that is not easily accessible to maintenance personnel. In accordance with various embodiments disclosed below, the unmanned aerial vehicle may be equipped with an easily attachable/removable module that includes an additive repair tool. The additive repair tool is configured to add material to a body of material. For example, the additive repair tool may be configured to apply a sealant or other coating material in liquid form to a damage site on a surface of a structure or object (e.g., by spraying liquid or launching liquid-filled capsules onto the surface). In alternative embodiments, the additive repair tool is configured to adhere a tape to the damage site.

Abstract: A paint sprayer attachment that prevents over spray mist from dispersing into the open air, thus allowing a user to operate a paint sprayer without wearing a mask, includes a spray hood, a first edger, a second edger, a first roller assembly, and a second roller assembly. The spray hood is a thin-walled, dome-like structure to which the first edger, the second edger, the first roller assembly, and the second roller assembly are attached. The first edger and the second edger enclose the sides of the spray hood, and provide non-abrasive surfaces for applying paint to a desired surface. A first paint roller from the first roller assembly and a second paint roller from the second roller assembly are positioned at opposite ends of the spray hood, wherein the first paint roller and the second paint roller enclose the front and back of the spray hood.

Abstract: Disclosed is a novel nozzle adapter for a spray bottle. The nozzle adapter coupled to a nozzle of spray bottle to allow a fluid chemical composition of sanitizing fluid to be forcefully discharged through it into the small opening cut outs of a knife block. The nozzle adapter serves as a guard to enter the opening and protect a splash back from occurring when the user applies a sanitizing fluid spray solution by pressure into the inside portion of the knife block slots which are of various sizes.

Abstract: A system for the application of foamable chemical compositions is presented. The application system comprises an ergonomic handle/adapter removably attachable to a pressurized source of a foam product, the handle having inlet and outlet orifices or openings for flow of the foam product from the pressurized source to a nozzle, the nozzle having an outlet orifice for dispensing the foam product and an inlet orifice for connecting to a flexible tubular connecting member which interconnects the outlet orifice of the handle/adapter with the inlet orifice of the nozzle. The nozzle of the present invention includes design features to produce a fan shaped spray pattern of the foam product and to reduce the incidence of leakage or dripping of either moisture or the foam product at the nozzle's outlet. The tubular connecting member is flexible and therefore allows a user to spray foam into hard to reach places.
