Abstract: The present invention provides an adjustable hinged door closer, including a seat with the first and second cylinders, and a first and a second elastic linkage unit. A double-threaded regulator is incorporated onto the first connecting rod of the first elastic linkage unit, so as to change the compression of the spring and regulate the closing/restoring force of the door body. The double-threaded column of the double-threaded regulator has a double-thread that shifts to two thread pitches by just making one rotation, thus facilitating the fine-tuning easily. The elastic linkage unit and the regulator are structurally configured to be assembled externally, and then mated with the connecting seat of the door closer.

Abstract: A hinge device prevents breakage of a structuring part from an increase in an internal pressure during overload. In the hinge device, first and second members are rotatable relative to each other. A case is fixed to either the first or second member, and a shaft body capable of rotating relative to the case is fixed to the other. A first chamber and a second chamber formed between the case and the shaft body are filled with viscous fluid. An orifice between the first and second chambers narrows a flow path for the viscous fluid moving from the first to second chamber, resisting rotation of the shaft body. A space region is provided in the shaft body, with a valve body movably placed therein. When pressure of the first chamber reaches a predetermined level, the valve body moves in the space region to increase the volume of the first chamber.

Abstract: A door closer assembly is provided, including a valve regulating an amount of hydraulic fluid that flows through the valve. The amount of hydraulic fluid flowing through the valve controls a force generated by the door closer assembly on a door. A first sensor measures an angular position of the door, and a second sensor measures an angular position of the valve. The angular position of the valve determines the amount of hydraulic fluid flowing through the valve. A controller controls the adjustment of the valve based on the angular position of the door and the angular position of the valve.

The filter presents a filter area greater than the cross-sectional area of the flow channel to incoming flow to the filter and presents a filter area substantially equal to the cross-sectional area of the flow channel to outgoing flow from the filter.

Abstract: A door closer of the kind having a piston slidably mounted in a bore containing hydraulic fluid and dividing that bore into damping and reservoir chambers. Drive means is connected to the piston to respond to sliding movement of the piston and translate that into rotary motion for driving door connected linkage. The piston is spring influenced in a direction towards the damping chamber, and fluid pressurized by the piston tending to move in that direction bleeds from the damping chamber through an escape port which is controlled by a biased and movable closure member. Normally the closure member is biased into a rest position in which it blocks passage of fluid through the escape port, but it responds to fluid pressure in the damping chamber to move into an open position at which fluid can bleed through the escape port. The time taken for the closure member to travel from the rest to the open position is a delay time during which the piston is freed from external influence so as to be movable in a door closing direction, but is temporarily restrained against such movement by the closure member. That delay time can be varied by adjusting the rest position of the closure member and/or by adjusting the rate of fluid flow from the escape port to the reservoir chamber.
