Abstract: An insulation arrangement configured to cover a vessel containing a liquified gas is provided. Embodiments include an insulation arrangement including an aerogel composition and a vapor barrier, where the insulation arrangement reduces heat transfer between the ambient environment and the liquified gas. Other embodiments include an insulated clamping device configured to connect a vessel to a framework and a connection system including the insulated clamping device, where the vessel includes the aforementioned insulation arrangement.

Abstract: A composite cylinder assembly may comprise a tube liner including a first domed portion defining a first liner neck, a second domed portion defining a second liner neck, and a cylindrical wall. The lip may be configured to provide a surface area to weld the port to the liner neck. The swage recess may be configured to provide an area to swage the liner neck to the port.

Abstract: A commercial hybrid tank includes a metal liner with an upper wall and a lower wall. The upper wall and the lower wall define a cavity therebetween. A weld joint joins the upper and lower walls together. A fiber winding layer is wrapped around an outer surface of the metal liner. A method for manufacturing a commercial hybrid tank includes overlapping surfaces of an upper wall and a lower wall to form a metal liner defining a cavity. The method includes joining the surface of the upper wall and the surface of the lower wall together by welding to form a weld joint between the upper wall and the lower wall. The method includes wrapping the metal liner with a fiber winding layer around an outer surface of the metal liner to form a hybrid tank.

Abstract: An in-vehicle liquid hydrogen tank includes: an inner tank that stores liquid hydrogen; an outer tank that accommodates the inner tank; and a heat-insulation material that is arranged in a heat-insulation clearance as a clearance between the inner tank and the outer tank and holds the inner tank to be separated from an inner surface of the outer tank. The heat-insulation clearance has: a vacuum area that is not filled with the heat-insulation material; and an area that is filled with the heat-insulation material and thus allows the inner tank to be surface-supported by the heat-insulation material.
