Abstract: Various implementation of a light bar warning system for a steering wheel of a vehicle include a liquid crystal display (LCD), a light guide, and at least one light source disposed adjacent the light guide. The LCD and light guide having arcuate shaped surfaces that follow along a portion of the steering wheel rim. Light emitted from the light source is transmitted through the light guide and out of its outer surface into an inner surface of the LCD that is disposed adjacent the light guide. The light is emitted through portions of the LCD that are activated for illumination by an LCD driver. The LCD may provide various types of warnings to the operator, including blind spot warnings, forward collision/proximity warnings, and lane departure warnings, for example.

Abstract: A method of producing display panels of collectively producing a plurality of display panels each including a contour line of an outer shape, at least a section of which is curved includes a bonding process of forming a bonded substrate by bonding a pair of substrates including a plurality of thin film patterns formed on at least one substrate, a stacking process of stacking a plurality of bonded substrates and pinching and holding the plurality of stacked bonded substrates in a stacking direction using a jig, and a grinding process of collectively forming end surfaces of the plurality of display panels forming the curved contour line by collectively grinding the pair of substrates located outside the thin film pattern among stacked bonded substrates along the outer shape in a state in which the plurality of stacked bonded substrate are pinched by the jig.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal panel, a panel driver board, and flexible circuit boards. The liquid crystal panel has a substantially round shape and includes linear edge sections formed by linearly cutting out outer edge portions. The panel driver board is configured to supply signals related to image display to the liquid crystal panel. The flexible circuit boards include first ends and second ends. The first ends are mounted to the liquid crystal panel aligned with the linear edge sections with respect to the circumferential direction in a non-display area. The second ends are mounted to the panel driver board. Portions of the flexible circuit boards joining the first ends and the second ends have bending shapes in a plan view.
