Abstract:
Systems and methods described herein may provide automated teller machine (ATM) security. For example, an ATM security system may comprise an ink staining system, an electronic lock, and a processor in communication with the electronic lock and the ink staining system. The processor may be configured to determine that the lock is being opened, disable the ink staining system in response to the determining, and enable the ink staining system when the lock has been closed.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus of reducing heat loss and cooling loss from a bank building caused by automatic teller machines, night drop vaults, and cash deal drawers. The abstract of the disclosure is submitted herewith as required by 37 C.F.R. §1.72(b). As stated in 37 C.F.R. §1.72(b): A brief abstract of the technical disclosure in the specification must commence on a separate sheet, preferably following the claims, under the heading “Abstract of the Disclosure.” The purpose of the abstract is to enable the Patent and Trademark Office and the public generally to determine quickly from a cursory inspection the nature and gist of the technical disclosure. The abstract shall not be used for interpreting the scope of the claims. Therefore, any statements made relating to the abstract are not intended to limit the claims in any manner and should not be interpreted as limiting the claims in any manner.
Abstract:
A document delivery system within an automated transaction machine includes a shuttle for receiving a stack of documents. The shuttle is moveable from a dock location to a user interface location along a track system The shuttle may be utilized with a rear-load configuration or a front-load configuration in which the track system has a travel path from the dock location to the user interface location.
Abstract:
A medium separating and stacking device is provided. In one embodiment, a medium separating and stacking device comprises a frame, a first shaft rotatably coupled to the frame, a second shaft rotatably coupled to the frame and spaced apart from the first shaft, and a rotation prevention part allowing the second shaft to stop at a set position by using a magnetic force.
Abstract:
Systems and methods of the invention relate to reducing a number of jams that can occur in an automated teller machine with the employment of a moveable platen that increases a width of a channel for documents. A document analysis area can receive a document via a first transport path, wherein the document analysis area can include a channel in which the document travels to enable at least one scan component to capture an image of the document. The channel is created by one or more platen. The one or more platen can be movable to increase the width of the channel so as to allow documents to pass through the document analysis area without causing a jam or error for the automated teller machine.
Abstract:
The money handling machine (banknote depositing and dispensing machine 1) includes a unique-code generating unit 80 configured to generate a unique code that is used for a receiver of a journal in judging whether the journal is authentic or counterfeit based on at least a part or all of the deposit information printed on the journal by a printing unit (printer 6). The printing unit is configured to print on the journal the unique code generated by the unique-code generating unit 80 as well as the deposit information that is information regarding money deposited into the money handling machine.
Abstract:
In an example embodiment, an automated banking machine operable to perform cash withdrawals. If a withdrawal is below a threshold, authorization is obtained from a first transaction authorization computer. If a withdrawal is greater than or equal to the threshold, a first portion of the cash is dispensed responsive to authorization from a first transaction authorization computer and a second portion of the cash amount is dispensed responsive to authorization from a second transaction authorization computer.
Abstract:
An exemplary system includes an automated banking machine which is operable to conduct transactions including cash dispensing for users responsive to communication with a transaction host. The machine is also operative to provide output signals which drive external displays which are separate from the machine. The machine is operable to receive visual and audio content from one or more broadcast content sources and to store the content in the machine. The content is then output through the external displays. The machine is also operative to receive and store a plurality of advertising messages. The advertising messages are output in a targeted manner to users of the machine.
Abstract:
A method for retrofitting a vending machine with a video communications device includes securing a video communications device with a mounting feature of the video communications device removably coupled with a mounting location on a vending machine. The video communications device includes a video communications module for real-time interactions with a ticket office. The video communications module includes a display, a camera, a speaker, and a microphone. The video communications device includes a video communication device communications interface. The method includes electronically coupling the video communications device with a power supply of the vending machine and communicatively coupling the video communications device with the vending machine such that functions of the vending machine are controllable using the video communications device. The method includes communicatively coupling the video communications device with the ticket office for real-time video communications with the ticket office.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the invention disclose a password input keyboard. The password input keyboard comprises: at one touch screen configured to receive a password input by a user's finger; a password verifying module configured to determine whether the password received by the touch screen is the same as a preset password stored in a bank; at least one fingerprint recognizer located at a side of the touch screen opposite to the side of the touch screen being touched by the user's finger and configured to extract a fingerprint feature of the user's finger when the password is input through the touch screen by the user's finger; a fingerprint verifying module configured to determine whether the fingerprint feature extracted by the fingerprint recognizer is the same as a preset fingerprint feature stored in the bank; and an unlocking and controlling module configured to obtain determination results from the password verifying module and the fingerprint verifying module and operate a locked device that is associated with the password input keyboard.
