Abstract: The present invention provides an information processing apparatus and a method of deciding a correction amount for correcting the radio field intensity of received radio waves in the information processing apparatus. The information processing apparatus receives a BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) packet transmitted by an external apparatus, and displays a screen for deciding a correction amount for correcting the radio field intensity of the BLE packet. If a user inputs an instruction for deciding the correction amount via this screen, the correction amount is decided based on the radio field intensity of the received BLE packet and a reference value.

Abstract: Systems and methods according to one or more embodiments are provided for capturing images of an area of interest proximate to an aircraft, and securely transmitting the images as data files over an encrypted communication network associated with the aircraft. In one example, a system includes an image capture device configured to be secured to an aircraft to capture a plurality of images of a field of view of an area of interest proximate to the aircraft. The system also includes a processor configured to receive the plurality of captured images and convert the captured images to a plurality of data files. The system further includes a memory configured to store the data files, and a communication interface configured to connect to an encrypted communication network associated with the aircraft, wherein the communication interface is configured to securely transmit the data files over the encrypted communication network.

Abstract: A display and input device includes a display unit, a touch panel, an operation reception unit, a display controller, an instruction generation unit, a communication unit, and a communication controller. The communication controller transmits an instruction to provide setting information including a list of items to be set related to image forming and default set values of the items to be set, to an image forming apparatus identified by the instruction generation unit. The display controller displays a setting screen for inputting a change of the set value from the default value, with respect to the items to be set indicated by the setting information received from the image forming apparatus. The instruction generation unit determines the set value of the item to be set according to a user's operation, and generates an image forming instruction based on the determined set value of the item to be set.

Abstract: In a communication system, an image forming apparatus sends an address of a receiving section to an external device. The external device receives a selection of image data through plural thumbnails displayed on a display section, and wirelessly sends the selected image data to the image forming apparatus with the address. The image forming apparatus receives the selected image data sent with the address by the external device, and prints an image based on the selected image data. The image forming apparatus accepts a selection indicating whether a communication between the external device and the image forming apparatus is performed by a first communication system method or a second communication system method. The image forming apparatus performs sending and/or receiving the image data with the address by the first communication system method when the first communication system method is selected, and performs sending and/or receiving the image data with the address by the second communication system method when the second communication system method is selected.

Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes a memory, a first obtaining unit, a second obtaining unit, and an updating unit. The memory stores setting information that is information for indicating a condition in which a user has utilized a function of the information processing apparatus. The first obtaining unit obtains, from a terminal apparatus, a user identification information for identifying the user, a function identification information for identifying a function utilized by the user, and apparatus identification information for identifying an apparatus that stores latest setting information used when the user has utilized the function most recently. The second obtaining unit obtains, in a case where the apparatus identified by the apparatus identification information is an external apparatus, the latest setting information from the external apparatus. The updating unit updates the setting information stored in the memory to the latest setting information obtained by the second obtaining unit.
