Abstract: According to the present invention, when a terminal apparatus is brought close to a printing apparatus serving as a processing apparatus, the terminal apparatus uses its own NFC unit to acquire, from the printing apparatus, information for communicating with each of one or more network connection units provided in the printing apparatus. Then, using a communication unit, the terminal apparatus then searches for the printing apparatus on a network in accordance with the acquired information. In the case where the terminal apparatus has successfully identified the printing apparatus as being present on the network, the terminal apparatus transmits a processing request to the printing apparatus successfully identified on the network via the communication unit.

Abstract: A document processing system includes a controller for controlling at least one part of the document processing system, a user interface for allowing a user to interact with the document processing system, and a mobile device capable of communicating with the controller in the document processing system via a wireless link. A locating function is provided for locating the mobile device. The user interface has a hierarchical structure with at least three levels each of which is associated with a class of local entities each of which contains at least a part of the document processing system. The local entities are nested such that each lower level entity is contained in an entity associated with a superior level in the hierarchy. A selection function is provided for automatically selecting one of the hierarchical levels dependent upon the local entities in which the mobile device is located.

Abstract: A portable terminal comprises an ID acquisition section, a position information acquisition section and a return instruction section. The ID acquisition section acquires ID information that specifies a print job sent from an information processing apparatus to an image forming apparatus. In a case in which the ID information is acquired and a beacon signal is received from a beacon transmitter, the position information acquisition section acquires, according to the received beacon information, position information relating to a position of the portable terminal relative to the image forming apparatus. If the position information meets a specific condition indicating the approach of the portable terminal to the image forming apparatus, the return instruction section instructs the image forming apparatus to return from a power-saving mode to a normal mode.

Abstract: A communication apparatus capable of controlling an image capture apparatus is disclosed. The communication apparatus receives live image data from an image capture apparatus in which information regarding a predetermined parameter related to a capturing of the live image is added. When the reception of the live image data is restricted, the communication apparatus restricts an instruction to change the value of the predetermined parameter. This enables to prevent the occurrence of a difference between an actual state of the image capture apparatus and a state assumed by a user of the communication apparatus, in a state where a moving image captured by the image capture apparatus is not displayed on the communication apparatus.

The information storing apparatus sends, to the determined electronic device, a second request based on the first request sent from the operation device, and stores the electronic data that has been sent from the determined electronic device based on the sent second request.
